Hey it was bought with real money, therefore it's stealing. Just like if somebody hacked a web domain someone owned.

Yes, it's bought with real money... that's why it's mad. It's confusing to me, and lacks any sane social signifiers that help to keep me sane.

Translation: you wish you had thought of it first, like I do. Ok maybe not really, but I wish I had thought of the concept of gouging morons for their money in exchange for pixels.

I've been wracking my brains to think of a way to gouge money out of people in Second Life, but the stumbling block is that I know I'd have to sign up for it, and then I'd go nuts.
I might open a virtual ski lodge or something.

What's really funny is the people that try to buy gold or 'influence' online for their games. You know that most online games have in their Terms of Service/Use that *all* items, characters, and their likenesses belong to the companies, right? So technically the person doing the selling doesn't even own what they are selling. It gets worse when people try to sell their characters, then the people that bought them are SOL when the company finds out and deletes the character outright.

My girlfriend scams people on Habbo and Neopets. Not like to this degree, but by getting people's passwords.

www.kudos-generator.comThis is a statement of intent... I'm going to start this website. 2¢ will buy you one kudos. There are 10,000,000 kudos. The winner is the one with the most kudos on November 14th 2008. For just $5 you can buy the optional "kudos trader" application, which allows you to buy, sell and trade kudos with other users.

See... it works. Eventually, I might even have to relent and release even more Kudos© onto the market.

What do you do with virtual furniture, bar virtually sitting on it? Is it more effort to virtually stand? or are you more likely to virtually get laid if your virtual apartment is virtually furnished expensivly??
=/
I like the last two paragraphs to that article

I'll steal them from you as to avoid buying my own. These kudos points are new, thus desirable... and if you have them I must have them too. So gimmie! ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)
