Probably one of the best RPGs ever made, and easily one of my favorite games. This game had pretty much everything.
Any other fans of it here? Anyone know if they're going to port it any time soon?

Gah, that game is great stuff. I absolutely love it. I dunno why it doesn't get more recognition, it's such a blast.

I agree. Also, the missions from the guild add a lot to the game. The definition of a great sidequest, along with a way to make Wren one powerful as hell character. Also, resident badass Rune(Or Thray, if you prefer his Japanese name):

Also, one of my favorite bosses in any game, the magician with a cult of personality surrounding him, Zio:

While I've heard good things about PSU, I wish they would make a true 5, more of a traditional RPG.
Ooh, or better yet! An updated PS4 with extra missions and combos!

When the Sega Channel offered it, I was addicted. Then it was gone the next month (didn't get to finish it) and my mom actually had to ask me why I was in such a mood.

The Genesis Collection for PS2 has all the Phantasy Stars on it.

I remember when that game came out, it cost $100 brand new. Same thing with Virtua Racing, but that was because of the oh-so-worth-it Sega VR chip.

The Genesis Collection for PS2 has all the Phantasy Stars on it. Is it hard to come by? A fansite told me they're making an improved PS4 in Japan. Hopefully it'll make its way to the US.

Not too difficult. My local EB has like 2-3 used.
It doesn't have them all, though. It's the Genesis Collection, so it's missing the original from Master System.

They either made or are making a remake of the original MAster Syster one, though it might not come to the States.

You can find it in the bargain bin section in most game stores. Its only $20 brand new. And if you're looking for the first two, I believe they were included on the Sega Smashpack that came out for the Dreamcast. Though that game was plagued with poor emulation problems.

Phantasy Stars are alright. Simple, solid RPGing. The way items and spells are named always bugged me though. Also, I always thought the perspective used in the fights was cool as hell for the time.
