Phantasy Star > Final Fantasy, except maybe 7. The game that directly ripped PS4 off, better than PS4? I LOL'd. But seriously, PS4 is probably my favorite RPG ever, and while it may deserve more recognition that it gets (and it definitely does), I'm glad it doesn't have a legion of psychopathic cosplaying zombie fanboys the way FF7 (and beyond) does.

Phantasy Stars are alright. Simple, solid RPGing. The way items and spells are named always bugged me though. Also, I always thought the perspective used in the fights was cool as hell for the time. I will admit the techniques and skills sometimes have overly confusing names, I guess.

QF F'n T!!!! Back in the day, while everyone had to have their NES, my family picked up the SMS. That thing was so totally underrated. And yes, the original Phantasy Star totally ruled. Funny thing is, we got the game for Christmas from my mom's friend. Ironically, my mom had actually told her friend we wanted Fantasy Zone, which is a totally different game not even up to PS's level. Also, Miracle Warriors was another great Sega game.

The first two Phantasy Stars are so freaking hard, though.

More RPGs need combo moves today. Triblaster for the win! I'll sign the petition. It's not an overly common thing. Off the top of my head, I can only think of two in Chrono Trigger and PS IV and both ruled. Can bad team attack containing RPGs be made?

Suikoden also had combos, and I really liked that game.

Introducing and trying to provide somewhat of a backstory for one hundred-whatever people gets kinda clumsy though. I loved how your weapons were sharpened and enchanted instead of having to re-equip at every new town. Also, unites owned.

Though it was hard to do, Final Fantasy X-2 had 'combos', in the most literal sense. Considering the general consensus on that game, it may qualify.
