Did she really breakup the beatles? No John Lennon did it, but I'm sure Yoko was a reason for it. I refuse to give that harlot the credit with breaking up the greatest rock band ever.

From what I read,I got the impression that Paul was the one who broke up the band. After the "Get Back" idea backfired he decided to pursue his solo endeavors. Then around the start of 1970, everybody else (even John Lennon) was willing to work on new Beatle material but Paul nixed it and that was the end of that.

I just think it's funny people hate Yoko Ono more than the guy who actually SHOT Lennon.
I for one like her if for no other reason than the fact she gave us Sean

She didn't break them up herself, but was one of many reasons of the eventual split.

Lennon wanted out and used her as a catalyst. But that's no reason to not like her. Have you heard her alleged music?? One LP album, she screams on the entire first side. She sounds like 8 cats getting slammed over the head with a suitcase.

On the other hand Ono's awfulness has resulted in 25 years of great jokes about how bad of a singer she is and how she broke up the Beatles, so in a way we should thank her. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

She helped break up the Beatles and inspired the B-52's.
God I love that woman!

She seems like a decent enough lady.
As much as I love The Beatles I'm glad John went and did what made him happy...because unknowing to him at the time he didn't have very much time left to do that.

Every story I heard had every one of them attempting to throttle each other by The White Album. And don't hate Yoko for breaking up the Beatles. Hate her for marketing her husband's artwork onto diapers.

BTW, who told Yoko Ono that what she does is art? You ever hear her sing?
I'd say she was a contributing factor to the break up. And it wasn't just Paul who was sick of her, from what I've read George and Ringo didn't much like having her come to the recording studio either, nor her influence on John.

No, it's because she somehow has convinced them to let her sing when she has no apptitude for it whatsoever. I'm sorry, the song "War Is Over", with Yoko singing backup vocals for Lennon and those kids, it makes me want to hunt humans, it really and honestly does. Granted, I hate Christmas music anyway, but that song just offends my ears on every level. Pretentious, annoying, nasaly, and overplayed. It's almost as bad as Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree, which has actually caused violence on my part.

No.
I think John and Paul are the ones to blame.

Lennon and McCartney couldn' t stan each other. In such an atmosphere, it' s actually surprising that the band lived that long. And I don' t hate Yoko Ono because I hardly know anything about her. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

And - NOT THAT I'M DEFENDING HER - I think they were aiming more for an artsy-abstract kind of thing with her voice. Which doesn't work so much for people with ears.

Yoko?
Yoko is amazing.
John Lennon was the first one who wanted to leave the Beatles.
He wanted to leave the biggest band in the world for the woman he loved, and that was Yoko Ono.
She must be something special.
And I have more respect for Lennon having the balls to want to do that than for any of his amazing music.

I don't fault Lennon for putting love ahead of the band, as that's a ballsy move that speaks to how he felt about her. My only issue with Yoko is that her voice makes me want to take out my eardrums with a powerdrill.

Hey, hate her for the noise she puts on record all you want. Just don't hate her for 'breaking up the Beatles.' I think you'll find the Beatles did that...
Hell, I'd probably argue that Brian Epstein did it.
