Hey, hate her for the noise she puts on record all you want. Just don't hate her for 'breaking up the Beatles.' I think you'll find the Beatles did that... Hell, I'd probably argue that Brian Epstein did it. Hey, what do the Red Sox have to...oh, wait, nevermind.

If you legitimately like John, you've at least gotta respect Yoko, as she was the love of his life. The Beatles would've broken up sometime after that with or without her.

I'm gonna go back in time and stop Yoko from ever meeting John!

There's too many adjectives I can use to describe her which would likely end up in a permanent ban if I were to type them out here. Suffice to say, she's pretentious and talentless, and I think the only thing she's ever achieved in her life is pulling the wool over John Lennon and his fans' eyes and not having any of them realize her for what she truly is.
That said, she is a contributing factor to the Beatles downfall. Not so much that she caused it, but she's basically a manifestation of Lennon's personality he had developed, which sat wrong with everyone in the band. However, she's so unlikeable that it's easier to accept she broke up one of the best pop bands in the history of music than the reality, which is the combined egos of the group eventually caused them to crash in on themselves. Paul was too busy writing pop songs and Lennon was too busy trying to get people to think he was deep.

You hit it right on the head, fellow. If she had not hooked up with John Lennon, she would be just another obscure avant-garde artshow beatnik from a wealthy family.

She may had some influence on Lennon, but the breakup was on the cards anyway.
ANd I still prefer Lennon's solo stuff to most Beatles' material

It was an inevitable outcome. John and Paul were becoming at odds, and John's LSD abuse was a bigger factor than Yoko was, by far.

They already had problems after Brian left, Yoko was more or less the final straw.

From what I read,I got the impression that Paul was the one who broke up the band. After the "Get Back" idea backfired he decided to pursue his solo endeavors. Then around the start of 1970, everybody else (even John Lennon) was willing to work on new Beatle material but Paul nixed it and that was the end of that. Yeah? I'd never heard that. Every story I heard had every one of them attempting to throttle each other by The White Album. And don't hate Yoko for breaking up the Beatles. Hate her for marketing her husband's artwork onto diapers. Yeah I heard that as well. Every one was moving on but they were willing to give it a shot but Paul McCartney began announcing that they'd broken up.

Every one was moving on but they were willing to give it a shot but Paul McCartney began announcing that they'd broken up. Actually Paul was the last one to leave the band. Ringo had quit in 1968, George had quit during the Let It Be sessions, and John had quit in mid-1969. They'd just kept them all quiet. Paul was the last member of the band to quit.
