Sadly it's not Evil Dead 4 but a flick called "Drag me to hell".
From Deadpit Radio - Sam Raimi is making a long-overdue return to his horror roots with supernatural thriller Drag Me to Hell.
According to Variety, Raimi co-wrote the script with his brother Ivan in 1992, and will shoot the flick early next year. Plot is a morality tale about the unwilling recipient of a supernatural curse.
The film will be financed by Ghost House, the production company that Raimi set up with Rob Tapert several years ago to bring horror for the masses.
"Sam calls it a 'spook-a-blast', a wild ride with all the chills and spills that Evil Dead delivered, without relying on the excessive violence of that film" Tapert explained. "When one has done three very expensive movies, they get used to eating caviar. Sam will have to ponder what it means to come down from the mountaintop for a moment."
Evil Dead fans will pe pleased to hear that Raimi is returning to the horror genre.
Tapert continued: "The appeal to Sam on Drag Me to Hell was returning to what he had once done and loved doing, which was entertaining a very specific group of fans and providing a rollercoaster ride for them. He doesn't have the enormous pressure here that goes with handling a hundreds of millions of dollars franchise."
