I'm not surprised. With that much talent, you're expected to win. Then again, it's not his fault that they don't have a low-post scoring threat.

I think the Bulls fired Tim Floyd around Christmas as well a few years ago.
Sheesh, Jerry Reinsdorf finally gets his World Series ring (as quoted at the White Sox victory parade, "I would have traded all 6 Bulls championships for a World Series title!") and he gets cheap. I would have backed up the truck to get Kobe. Ben Gordon wants a contract extension? Trade him to the Lakers.
By the way, when the respective GMs in town both say "I like this team.", they're really saying, "I can't afford anybody who might actually help us; Jerry won't let me."
Scott got fired because he's not playing his big-money stars. And being somewhat successful at it. (Aaron Gray instead of Ben Wallace? It was working, too.) Skiles isn't a bad coach, the team just has no fire.
Bring back Bill Cartwright.

Fire Skiles? To me he seemed like someone trying to have his boys play the game with integrity. Fundamentals? Unselfishness? No wonder he got fired.

A new coach won't help at all, their offense is still perimeter oriented, no low post scoring and no true leader, Skiles is just the scapegoat in this situation. The team needs a trade badly

Hrmm...lets see; Hinrich/Gordon seem to have gone in the tank..."Big Ben" does NOTHING to justify the contract, let alone justifying trading off Tyson Chandler (who's playing out of his mind this year)...Luol Deng may have peaked in the playoffs LAST season...Joakim Noah is, well, falling flat on his ass (just as I KNEW he would. God I still hate that pick!)...and so forth and so on...
Oh, and lets not forget that (BIG coulda woulda shoulda) THIS could be the Bulls current lineup/semi-rotation if Krause (and later Paxon) hadn't been dumb (just look at it 'on paper'...not "oh, that guys injured right now..that guy's playing horrible right now...etc')
C-Amare Stoudemire (2002 draft...picked second...took Jay Wiliams) PF-Elton Brand (Traded for Tyson Chandler) SF-Luol Deng SG-Joe Johnson (2001 draft...picked fourth...took Eddy Curry) PG-Kirk Hinrich (i'll stick with him with this lineup) Sixth Man - Ben Gordon (the role he's PEFECT for) Bench: LaMarcus Aldridge, Mike Miller (2000 draft...picked 4th...took Marcus Fizer. ungh), Andres Nocioni, Chris Duhon (IMO; solid back-up PG for Hinrich)
There's probably more examples I could dredge up. But THAT is an 10 man rotation that can win you a title (or two) I think. Or, at the very least, compete year in and year out.
God...I need a strong drink after putting all that together and realizing "Man, THAT would have been a PERFECT evolution in the Post-Jordan Era"
*sigh*
/LONG time Bulls fan //I remember when Jordan's second fiddle was DENNIS HOPSON and DAVE CORZINE! ///STILL a Bulls fan, but Paxon's making it hard ////Don't think that firing Skiles is the answer.

So how long till they bring in Kobe? hopefully never (he comes me testing the strength of the 'bad word filter in a mini anti-kobe rant...so, sorry in advance for the language) smurf Kobe Bryant!! Hellacious talent? Oh you bet your goddamn ass! The kind of player anybody could play with and win a championship? No way in holy hell!! Kobe wants so bad to be Jordan (right down to riding his dick so hard his VOICE had morphed into a Jordan-esque monotone. seriously, listen to a fairly recent interview sometime. It's weird) but he NEVER will be? Why?? Because Jordan, who was by all means a pure gunner early in his career, was so GODDAMN driven to win that he finally realized "hey, i can't do this alone!", got his head out of his ass, started involving his teammates (who, outside of Pippen, were mostly spare parts for the most part) and proceeded to DESTROY the NBA to the tune of 6 titles in 8 years (only missing out on 2 more 'cause he flipped out and decided to play baseball for a year and a half...unless you believe the "Double Secret Gambling Suspension Handed Down by David Stern" conspiracy theory) Kobe, on his best day, could NEVER come close to that. And never WILL come close to that. Remember, he's only got his rings because of Shaq. Anybody who says otherwise is a fool. So, yeah, smurf KOBE! Keep his ass outta Chicago. Sorry for the language...but, I reeeeeeeeeeeeally hate Kobe. And the thought of him playing for my beloved Bulls drives me NUTS. EDIT: Upon further, post-posting of this reading it appears the only word the filter stops is the F-bomb? Odd.
