Shouldn't he have waited for the very end of the year? After all, There Will Be Blood is yet to come out and sounds like it would be a contender.

I havent seen any of those.
07 has been a good year for movies though. 28 Weeks Later, American Gangster, and The Mist have been my favorites...

I want to see Juno. Mostly because I love Ellen Page.

Finally Atonement gets in a top 10 list that isn't a UK list.

Never heard of number 9, but is the reason they are so great because they are master debaters?

Just thought I'd list Empire's Top 10 of the year (and I realise some of these came out in the US in 2006 but didn't come out here until 2007).
10. Half Nelson 9. Knocked Up 8. Hot Fuzz 7. Superbad 6. Zodiac 5. The Assassination of Jessie James 4. Ratatouille 3. Atonement 2. The Lives of Others 1. The Bourne Ultimatum (the second year in a row Paul Greengrass directed their #1 film of the year)

Bah, American Gangster tops my Best of 2007 list and is high on all the other "Best of" lists of mine.

Is it odd that I havent heard of over half the movies on that list? Well, none of them got a real big, mainstream release.

I saw commercials for most of those movies and they bored the living shit outta me. I can't watch the kite Runner and be entertained. I'm not shallow mind you, it's just bleh.
