Do you find that as you get older you:
Get better taste in music
I mean, when I was a teenie bopper I was into stuff like Metallica and RHCP and would refuse to acknowledge anything else, but now those to bands are top of my hate list.
Horror films dont interest you as much
I just find that I am not such a big fan of the genre as i used to be. They dont scare me (they never really did anyway) I just cant get excited over them anymore.
Appreciate the giving part of christmas
Sure I used to give people presents when I was younger but I never actually enjoyed doing it. Now I cant wait.
So, there are a lot of downsides to getting old, but what are the upsides?

My musical taste has definitely improved. I was into that ugly screaming death metal crap as an early teen. Now I can't stand it.

I agree on musical taste improving. I'm into the 60's through the 90's pretty much now. I can find a song that just takes me places and really dig it now.
I like a lot of 'no name' bands from the 2000's as well. They are actually good, but no one knows of 'em.
I don't like a lot of shows I did when I was 11. I HATE Pee-Wee's Playhouse now. Beakman's World isn't as funny as it once was.
I'm sure I'll dislike a lot of things I like now when I'm in my 30's.

I still listen to virtually everything I ever liked musically. I can't find many upsides to aging, especially when you get old enough your looks and health start to fade

The older I get (but for Christ's sakes I'm only 20) I find my musical tastes expanding. Blues, jazz, and Sinatra big time. And there's always a place in my heart for ska.

I see my musical taste changing. It seems like yesterday, I was listening to stuff like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit...
Back then, the Bond movies bored the hell out of me.
I go back even 6 years ago and read my first livejournal. Wow. What spelling mistakes.
Older women are desirable and I can't very well talk to girls my own age. Thank you, 25-35 year old women!

My musical tastes have changed. I still can't believe that when I was 10 or so, I used to listen to Rap. Now, I despise that genre.
Also, as we're so close to it, Christmas has become nothing for me. When I was younger, I used to get really excited for it. Nowadays, I couldn't care less. I hate having to go see my huge, semi-retarded family every year. Seems like everyone gets really amped for it, except me.

Nothing has changed in me except my love for movies has expanded.
5 years ago i would call "Shawshank redemption" Crap & "Armageddon" on of the best films of all time but now i'm older it's reversed (Armageddon sucks).
I even watch foreign films now.

I honestly see very little, if any change to my taste in music from when I was 14, 15, 16. I still cant stand country and I pretty much still listen to the same types of stuff I always have really.
And I always loved the gift giving part of Christmas. From the time I was 7 or 8, I knew that I would be getting stuff, so I would just make my Christmas list, give it to my parents and not worry about it. I would then just focus on finding stuff for other people. I think ive always liked giving presents just as much as getting them. It was always pretty even to me.
Im 22 now, and I don't actually think my interests have really changed all that much since I was like 7. Wrestling and sports, I got into them then, and I still am. Other stuff has changed, but those were always my main interests and still are.
If your tastes go through major changes as you get older, it must be older then 22.

Better taste in music, you can actually afford stuff, you can drive a car, talk to girls (speaking of which, my chances of a threesome starts to look really good, for my return to Australia), you can rent R rated movies no questions asked, your stupid bank will give you a Mastercard, you can drink alcohol without being nervous of getting caught by your parents or someone you know, you can buy cigarettes yourself (no need to get your brother and his friends to do it for you), etc. etc.

my music taste hasnt changed at all, still in to the older stuff from the 50s till mid 90s, if anything i hate modern music more then ever.
Still love horror movies, hell working on a horror novel so will always have a love for it.
Now the upside is a step closer to getting that handicap parking space!!!

My music taste really hasnt changed, just expanded. I still like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit.
I guess age has made me a little more laid back and a cool deeper voice...

I've noticed I can barley stand any music from this decade unless it's non popular music. I'm more into 50's-80's music now and when I was younger, it was the complete opposite.
