Mass Effect is great, probably the best game I've played since the first Knights of the Old Republic. Sure, the combat AI is pretty bad on occasion (dammit, Wrex, would you kindly move your giant lizard ass out of my line of fire once in a while?) and there are some technical issues (what's with the texture streaming?) but the overall experience is so good that things like those don't matter much.
Can't wait for parts 2 and 3. I wouldn't mind a KotOR 3 or Jade Empire II either, though.

Meh, I'm not sure if I agree (Havent finished it yet, wont make a definite opinion until I finish the plot). Sure it really is the first next-gen KOTOR (More so then KOTOR2 or NWN2), but so far 15h in I find the plot to be weak. Our protagonist is sure fired to stop Saren even though they have absolutely no proof except for one witness that was half asleep at the time. I find the hero to be entirely too gullible and not cynical enough, basically I personally cant identify with Shepard.

I really want to play it, but since I have no intention of getting a 360 guess I will wait til it comes to PC.

I've only watched my nephew play it, and it seems badass to no end. It reminds me of Knights of the Old Republic, but without the suck combat.

How does one "mark out" for a game?

But the mako controls are ASS Eh, I never had any problems with the Mako's controls. Maybe it's because I've spent so much time trying to drive the original Halo's Warthog which basically handles like a dead walrus on ice (with a rocket engine stuffed up its ass). Besides, it's fun to drive the Mako over the hills and whatever bumps the planets have to offer. Of course, trying to get it out of a tight spot can occasionally be a pain... and the shields take forever to recharge.

Absolutely spetacular story. Some parts of the game need work (I couldn't stand the squad mechanics or the special features like overkill that were a pain in the ass to operate), but overall it's one of the best games I've played.

I like the leveling up in ME because it's pretty quick and it doesn't take about a year to go up a level like final fantasy (j/k).
Also the combat system is great, hopefully FF & KOTOR (rumours say it will) adopt the style (I HATE turn based).

Great game, but I would've preferred Kotor 3. I made Zap Brannigan on it, but Wrex=Chuck Norris
