I think last season's match was the second time Andre faced Savage, this might be their first encounter from Sept 1988, it also has the rematch with Honky vs. Warrior from Summerslam.

Liked the first show a lot. Big show with some entertaining matches. Briscoes and Murdock are as old school as they come. Piper was a friggin heat machine. You could see a big line of spit on him when he was walking back to the locker room. Sheik was funny as hell on the mic and was more coherent than Cyndi Lauper, who can't cut a promo to save her life. Seeing Hogan and Wendi Richter out there reminded me just how big Richter was before Vince booted her ass out of the company.
Thought the second show wasn't so hot. Koko/Warlord was dreadfully boring. Hennig was good. Heenan was great on the mic.
This show reminded me of what Gorilla's funny nickname for Valentine was during this time. Anyone else thinking calling Valentine "Boxcar" was funny?

Finally watched the Jack and Gerry Brisco vs Dick Murdoch and Adrian Adonis match. Damn good match.
