I'm a Batista fan but his behaviour is bull at times judging from recent reports.

Was there ever a source? If not, I don't believe it. I mean I'm sure Batistas an ass, but that just seems overblown. They need Booker backstage to whoop his ass again.

I just laugh a little at the fact that these roid monsters like Batista keep getting their asses handed to them by guys smaller than them.
I know Booker is no Hornswoggle, don't get me wrong. Book is a big dude. But Batista is twice as muscular as Booker is.

Maybe if Batista had challenged Book to a wormy veins contest he would have won but Booker being the better fighter, handed Batista his ass.

Gotta love how quickly we lash out at "not-so-favourites", even if the source of the news is dodgy or not credited at all...
Batista has cemented his "jerk" spot when he badmouthed TNA (or something like that), his friendship with Triple H and the (consequent?) push granted him lasting hate.
Stephanie is a McMahon, so that's more than enough...
The matter of fact is: we know NOTHING about what happens backstage and about the dynamics of the hirings/firings. As egomaniac as Steph, Vince & co may be, I don't think they're so childish to push/bury workers basing their judgement on personal sympathy.
Batista may or may not have "insulted" two Divas (who are referred as worthless and talentless around here 99% of the time anyway), but since our new Favourite Diva stood up for them (probably rightfully, but not the best move if you're a newbie), it's all blown out of proportions, and we're already wishing every kind of ill on Batista.
I don't remember too many complaints when Carlito was necronomiconing about being left off WrestleMania (with Flair) to make room for Candice and her Playboy thing...

Its too bad though that you cant be a fly on the wall backstage to see what goes on. To me it sounds like a pretty messed up place.

it's just that i had NO respect for Batista anyway so this adds fuel to the fire

I wonder...would the reaction be the same if it had been Kelly Kelly that had stood up to Batista and gotten fired?

What? you mean the IWC is BIASED? NO?!!!!?!?
About 1,000 people in the thread have pointed out that the reaction probably would have been different if he'd have gotten someone less favourable round here fired. The point remains the same with most people though - Dave's a douche who's only been hanging on because of his friendship with HHH, he;s thrown his weight around with this because Ariel dared to talk back to the bald meaty idiot, and DARED make a point that the women of the company aren;t all mindless T and A. god forbid!

Well...I wasn't implying that what Batista did was right. I think Jillian hasn't had the chance to wrestle the way I saw her wrestle in OVW. If what happen was really the case, then I agree that it was a classless thing to do. But I don't think the uproar would be as big (or very big at all) had it not been Ariel, a valet who honestly didn't do much in the WWE, who had the argument. If Kelly Kelly did it, I'm not sure that some people would be praising Batista now.
By the way, not a fan of Kelly Kelly.

I admit if it was Kelly Kelly then wouldn't be as bummed but i still would have thought Batista was a douche, plus i would have respected Kelly for sticking up to him
Batista was being an arrogant prick and saying "I'm better than you" is just a vile thing to do.

I'll just need to say that we should find out what reliable source this has been derived from before we continue to hate someone for something that may not have even happened. No way someone at a random forum would magically know this and all the news sites would miss it.

Aaaaaah did poor shelly hurt Big Batista's feelings. Besides the divas have better workrate than Batista anyway And Steph hating Mileena is proof she hates people prettier than her, bloody F***nut No that can't be it. I honestly think that Melina is not good looking at all. Nice body yes, but not that good looking. Give me Michelle McCool anyday of the year.

What was said is still unclear but a couple rumors say that Batista made some remarks about Jillian and Michelle being talentless bimbos who were wasting time that could have been used for a match involving him. Sources say that was when Shelly became very angry and gave him a piece of her mind stating that the two women worked and trained just as hard as him and deserved to have matches from time to time. Sources then say Batista just laughed at her and told her that none of the women work nearly as hard as him and that she worked least of them all. What Shelly said to him after that seems to change with who you ask but one thing that's for sure is that it made Batista furious and he complained about her to upper managment (mainly Triple-H) and it wasn't long before she was released. Another factor working against Shelly was the fact that her very best friend in WWE was Melina who Shelly had trained with all the way back in their UPW days. Shelly even once played Melina's sister in a UPW angle. In fact it was Melina who got WWE to look at Shelly and give her a Developmental contract. It is well known that Stephanie hates Melina, but Vince & Shane love her. Some feel Stephanie fired Shelly out of her spite for Melina which seems very childish if true. found on another forum. If it's true, Dave is not using what little grey matter he seems to have. Keep your personal opinions to yourself, put on your tights, and go slowly wrestle your match, big man. You might not need to make friends but you have no idea how many enemies you can make with unkind words.

Figure this helps to clarify things:
One of the most surprising names released, given the amount of television time devoted to her, was Ariel, real name Shelly Martinez. The release appears to be related to a backstage incident involving Martinez and Batista at last Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Baltimore, Maryland.
The two of them got into an argument in front of a number of talents while watching the taping on a monitor backstage. Whatever the argument was about hasn't come out yet, but the feeling among those spoken to was that Martinez was defending herself against Batista. Seeing how she was on the wrong side of things politically, she ended up in the crosshairs of the company. When push came to shove, she became an enemy of Batista, who happens to be a friend of Triple H, husband of the woman who can now fire you.
Stephanie McMahon, who is now in charge of who gets fired and who gets hired, was never a fan of her. She also felt as though that she didn't have the "WWE Diva look." It also didn't help matters that she was a talent hand-picked by Paul Heyman for ECW when it was originally launched, and as we all know, Stephanie absolutely loathes Heyman. All those factors worked against her and she was shown the door.
With the departure of Ariel, Kevin Thorn has been told that he may be receiving a makeover/new look, which leads some to believe that the darker/vampire elements of his character will go away. There were a few people who felt that since ECW writer Dave Lagana isn't one to rock the boat, he's going to go with whatever WWE management wants, instead of trying to fight for the characters and making it work.
