So just about all of us have heard of parents blaming WWE when their son/daughter hurt themselves or another doing wrestling moves? Every six months it has to come up.
Anyway, the funniest thing, in my book, is that FOR ONCE, it really IS society's fault. Why?
Well, imagine you're a kid. And you watch wrestling. All you ever hear from your parents, friends, teachers, etc. etc., is that wrestling's fake. People look down on wrestling from all walks of life.
So, if you're a kid, and you hear that, you think, "Hey, it's okay for me to do the wrestling moves. Why? Because WRESTLING'S FAKE!"
Then, they do the move, get hurt, and the parents and society can't believe it. Why? Because WRESTLING'S FAKE.
Now, anyone on here knows that the only thing fake about wrestling are the match endings and the diva's breasts. The problem is, anyone else you ask will tell you, with their noses up in the air, that wrestling's fake.
Then, kids go out and try this "fake" sport, get hurt, and suddenly it's WWE's fault. No, it's not WWE's fault. It's not their fault that nobody takes professional wrestling seriously. It's not their fault that society thinks wrestling is just acrobatics on a trampoline.
If I was the WWE, and parents came to me trying to sue, I'd say, "Go f*** yourself. You're just another bad parent trying to blame your incompetence on anyone but yourself."
Annnnnyway, that's what I think about the whole thing. What do you think? Is it WWE's fault, or the misperceptions of parents/society?

Whenever I hear about a kid getting hurt doing a wrestling move, I always think its the parents fault. WWE have done as much as they can to show kids who are impressionable that there are injuries, by putting that movie of wrestlers getting injured before every show. The only one left ot blame is the parents, but it's not easy to just blame them. But there the easiest

According to MTV, they're stuntmen. That'll only help public perception.

It's the parent's fault. Where were they when Junior decided to do a moonsault off the couch?

Getting popcorn. That was the popcorn match before the main event, where their second son will powerbomb their 2-year-old daughter off of the couch through the coffee table. Cuz wrestling's fake.

This was one of the legal ways to get a wrestlers' union, to organize as stuntmen rather than actors. Whatever works I guess--on MTV it sorta devalues them a little, but maybe I'm just paranoid. If Kristin on Laguna Beehutch is an "actress" and Colt Cabana is a "stuntmen"...
