- Don West talked about the potential 2/12 TNA Monday Night special on his radio show today. He said the special would be two hours and feature five matches taped from recent PPV shows. He also said that TNA could run their June PPV in Nashville.

Wait, five matches taped from pay-per-views? So, in essence, a recap show?

I don't know, I think it would be smarter to go live with a Class of The Champions/Saturday Night's Main Event. Have a couple of big matches to try and hook people into seeing what happens next instead of matches and events that have already happened. I guess running repeats is cheaper and lets them still have a new Impact Thursday. Why haven't they gone back to Nashville sooner? They only ran there for 2 years and are based out of there now.

That... is... a great idea. If they will still have a new iMPACT! on that Thursday, then this will be great.

I guess going along with budget cuts and stuff they want to spend as little money as possible...but come on, they should at least have "showcase matches" that aren't neccesarily storyline driven but show what they can do.

I sure hope the PPV rumor is true as I live only a half hour from Nashville.

-He said the special would be two hours and feature five matches taped from recent PPV shows. Could be a smart move Depends on what the matches are. If you have stuff like Lance Hoyt vs. Robert Roode, Eric Young vs. Johnny Devine, etc. then it could get a negative reaction.

This is a good idea, the alternatives would either be a live show, or a show taped before one of their PPVs. Also they are said to be using this time to attract new viewers, so showing them PPV matches is a good idea, let them see what they've been missing.

Give me Angle vs. Joe II and the four of the AJ & Daniels PPV matches from last year (Sacrifice, Slammiversary, Hard Justice, No Surrender, Bound For Glory) and I'll be happy since I most likely won't have to spend money on the DVDs.

TNA needs to run all their ppvs from other places, maybe one a year in the Impact Zone, but give the ppvs a big time feel.
