Is Jeff Jarrett really leaving TNA? I haven't watched the show in a while so I'm not sure what the true story is.
It's a shame if he is. I woulda loved to have seen him come back with a hippy gimmick and a guitar with bright flower patterns on it. The electric guitar siren riff at the start of his theme tune could be replaced with an Indian sitar siren riff and the rest of his music could be sung by Joe Cocker. He could say things to Jim Cornette such as "I don't need your right-wing authoritarian crap dude! U gotta pacify maan!!!".

C'mon, someone out there must know what the story is, is he really considering quitting wrestling?

1) you should probably wait more than 20 minutes before you start bumping your own thread; I'm not a Mod, but I'm pretty sure they frown on that kind of thing. (I could be wrong, however.)
2) if Jarrett is still part-owner of TNA, I doubt he'll quit. That's the best I can do for an answer; I hope that's at least somewhat helpful.

Forgive my impatience, it's just that I was wondering why he hasn't been active for a while now.

I assume he isn't active as of late is because he over-saturated TNA programming with his prescence. I recall the plan was for him to stay off TV for awhile and return as some sort of babyface (I don't understand how that will work).
Jarrett is exactly what TNA doesn't need, especially with all the DQ/interference/non-interesting crap that he's apart of.

If im not mistaken he left for real because his wife has cancer. Correct. Between that, over saturation in TNA, wrestling several shows a week (not just TNA but, all of the NWA and several partner companies around the globe), writing and, running TNA's day to day operations he needed a break.

Is he still running TNA's day to day operations? I believe so (It is him, Dixie Carter and two or three others). The only thing he really stopped doing is wrestling from what I have read. Since TNA is based out of Nashville he can do most of the work from home and just travels for iMPACT! tapings and PPVs
