I always thought Bret was very good on the mic in a subtle way.
He's got a certain dry wit to him

Being a sarcastic guy myself I loved that promo. It went straight to my favorites. I hope Vince doesn't take it down right away

I always thought Bret was very good on the mic in a subtle way. He's got a certain dry wit to him Yeah, he is good on the mic in a very non pro-wrestler way. I really noticed that during his heel run in the Hart Foundation. He was easily the most hated heel without giving flashy promos. It wasn't even simple cheap heat. He actually had good points that forced the american fans to either agree with him and get pissed off because the heel was right or it just made them angry but at least they knew why Bret hated them. Another strong point was that his promos were heel promos in the us but face promos everywhere else. While cheap heat is simply saying this town sucks or this country sucks. Which only works in that city or country without anyone else who doesn't live there actually caring.

"He's a jam-up guy." "This is a groin pull the likes which you have never seen in your whole life."
Now Bret was the type of slightly funny heel that all after him should aspire to be like.

Another strong point was that his promos were heel promos in the us but face promos everywhere else. Good point. For a guy who deliberately spent most of his career providing a role model for his audience, Bret was one of the best heels in the entire wrestling business; people hated him because he made them contemplate truths that are too incriminating for most fans to acknowledge out of their own will. Bret Hart was to American audiences what Socrates was to his Athenian society.

I've probably seen that a thousand times and it's still funny as hell. Bret was awesome as a sarcastic heel.
"And what about hypnosis?"

I always thought Bret was very good on the mic in a subtle way. He's got a certain dry wit to him QFT. And by the way, i love the pic. Those two worked so damn well with each other. Edit: The "Yeah...Oowww" bit at the end of the promo is just hilarious.

kick ass promo...a classic But I do have one problem with it. It's Cirrhosis who's a high flyer of the highest magnatude. Or was it Psoriasis? I get them confused. Another strong point was that his promos were heel promos in the us but face promos everywhere else. people hated him because he made them contemplate truths that are too incriminating for most fans to acknowledge out of their own will. Bret Hart was to American audiences what Socrates was to his Athenian society. Wow, who knew you could get your intelligent political commentary and opinions on wrestling shows. Sort of like Meet the Press with spandex and steroids. You're just as bad as any of those marks that are so disparaged on these forums. IT'S JUST WRESTLING. geez

IT'S JUST WRESTLING. geez To keep on-topic I'll reply and you'll just have to add Bret's sarcasm to it in your own mind. I think you are a very intelligent man, who has a great view on professional wrestling. With 12 posts on your name you really have proven yourself as someone with great contributions to this forum and it gives you the right to shoot yourself in the foot by trying to put yourself over by attacking other posters because they used names of ancient philosphers you've never heard of.

I know enough about the man to see that comparing him to a heel and his promos on wrestling shows is absurdity of the highest magnitude.
