Is it because he's not in commentary?
All I remember him doing is being scared of Angle and bringing in baseball to TNA.
I really wish they'd get rid of him or put him on commentary because he is just annoying IMO

I thought he was doing just fine before Russo came. In fact, I made a poll about it, and I remember the majority of votes being that Cornette's TNA run was in the pretty good to great category. I think when they hired Russo he felt like they stabbed him in the back, and I think a lot of his trademark fire has been extinguished.

Unfortunately, Cornette doesn't have much to do in TNA except act as a figurehead and fly out to Orlando whenever a segment calls for him. He's doing the best he can considering what they give him.

He's never done all that much, outside of the couple months where he'd get face-to-face with Jarrett a bunch of times.
I'd love to see his role upped, though, and, more importantly, I'd LOVE to see him managing again (Briscoes, please?).

Corney should definately manage. AJ's manager is a great call since Styles doesnt really blow anyone away on the mic.
How about Christian. With Tomko as bodyguard, Cornette as manager and someone like Christy as a valet... Christian Cage would have himself quit the enterage.

That's....retarded..... Is it as retarded as John Madden taking a bus everywhere because he doesn't like to fly? I myself doubt that the reason that Cornette doesn't fly is his fear of terrorism. They probably told him to drive in because they couldn't afford his plane tickets to Orlando. What with spending so much money on old WWE/WCW guys ... ;D |

On the one hand, no; Christian's good enough on the mic, he doesn't need Cornette. On the other hand, yes; nothing says "Big time, Flair-style heel" like a guy with a sharp tongue and sneaky tactics being followed by an entourage. Maybe Cornette should pull a Heenan, and have a stable of all kinds of guys working under him, from the top guys (Christian, AJ), to lower card guys he wants to "develop". |
