IN the indies there are many matches classified as slop fest. sloppy moves done randomly with no building. just random finishers used as regular moves, and wrestlers no selling like they are great khali. so here's a great representation of a craptacular match. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH6x4CZ8qh0that george baus though really reminds me of that guy Angus from that movie angus www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7OcPc8cikE

I've never seen someone wrestling in khakis and a shirt like that, he should just give up now. I don't wanna crush anyone's dreams, but there are just some people that shouldn't be in a ring. When you have to wear that into the ring, you probably shouldn't be there in the 1st place. I have literally seen no one in my 17 years watching wrestling that looks as akward in the ring.
And yeah, he does look like Angus.
He is in that category though, that he is soooooo bad, that you can't look away.

Boy the fashion police are out tonight in this topic. Who knows maybe its their gimmick or a storyline that they are dressing that way (If this is wrong I'll shut up)

When a match just leaves me with a 'wtf did I just watch' feeling.
Especially when the guys in the ring just don't seem to know what they're doing.
Lots of things can make or break a match, but the biggest one, for me, is if two guys pretty much break the illusion that this is a real, competitive test of skill. We all know that they are playing a role, but having that plainly revealed is as bad as it gets.

The greatest irony of the clip is that it's from a promotion where the bumps and literal wounds are not really all that "fake!"

The greatest irony of the clip is that it's from a promotion where the bumps and literal wounds are not really all that "fake!" It's not so much the actions itself that draws me in, though that plays an essential part, no question. Larry Sweeney is a very low-impact wrestler, for instance. He does a lot of bionic elbows, abdominal stretches and elbow drops. But I can get sucked into his matches because, while watching, part of me BELIEVES that he's out there to prove he's the greatest thing going. At no point does he stop short and visually ponder what the next 'spot' is going to be. To throw in another basic example, when Kenta Kobashi is no-selling moves, it's because of Fighting Spirit and his refusal to back down. Thse guys are just going through the motions.

I think anytime a guy named Khali is in it, then youre watching a bad match.

Boy the fashion police are out tonight in this topic. Who knows maybe its their gimmick or a storyline that they are dressing that way (If this is wrong I'll shut up) You may not agree, but the way that a wrestler dresses is pretty damn important. Not on equal footing as their prescence in the ring, or how much they can get a crowd to react, but it can definately take away from a good match, and make a match this bad even worse. Now let me say, I have no prior knowlede of "Angus" before this topic, but just from being a fan for 15+ years you pick up on little things like this. I have more respect for someone that goes out there in tights even if they aren't in the best shape instead of hiding it behind some outfit that a 16 year old preppie would wear to high school. He should respect the buisness that he is trying to make his living in by wearing what those before you did for over 100 years. I hate the typical indie wrestler garb of Jnco jeans or some huge pair of shorts and a wife beater. , and believe me, you can tell. Untill you are established enough to get over a different look, just plain black tights looks better than the mid-90's grunge look that dominates the bar-league indie scene today. For instance, Tommy Dreamer. Do you think he would be in the position that he is in if he was still dressing like he did in 1994? Probably not, suspenders with tights went out in about 1985. Hell, take our dear old friend Shockmaster: maybe if WCW gave him a helmet he could see out of, Ottman would of been the one to lead the nWo against WCW, not Hogan. Just a little something to think about the next time your as bored as me....

Ahahah, I hate to make fun of the guy because I'm sure he's a heck of a guy but the dude in khakis and the T-shirt looks like someone made a CAW in smackdown of Pugsley Addams and had to make it 6 feet because it was the height minimum. Just looks totally bizarre to me.

Really, i don't think there is a standard. Sometimes a very good, technical match can be unbearably boring if neither guy tries to bring you in. And a spot fest can be very entertaining. Really if you actually begin to go against the match, then it's bad. Like Rosie v. Trump. That's a bad match. Really really bad. If it was a comedy match, at least it could have been a somewhat entertaining bad match.

^ Rosie/Trump was supposed to be a comedy match... On the ECW Bloodsport DVD there is this RVD/Sabu match. Its TERRIBLE. Just sloppy big move after big move, but they dont really sell them like big moves. Theres NO build up to anything, like I said, big move after big move and its really slow to, and theres some botching to. Then theres another one I hated. Rey/Phycosis. Sorry but it sucks, Phycosis does the same whip into the corner like 4 times. And once again theres no build up to anything at all... BTW is that recent CZW?

Really horrible match. I'm really not a fan of Rey vs Psycosis "mexaican death match" either. They only sold when they felt like it. The finish was cool though.

If I don't enjoy watching it, it's a bad match. That's my only criteria.

This match sucks. First, these guys dress like regular people. What, I am suppose to beelive that I can fight a match wearing anything? Bleah it not only is boring, it´s stupid.
Since their characters don´t exists, you just don´t care for the big moves they keep pulling, that they do with no intensity.
I´ve seen Test matches more interesting than that.
BTW, that was the worst German suplex with Bridge I´ve ever seen.

Look no farther than Ultimate Warrior vs HTM for the IC belt for the definition of bad match.
Here you have one of the top stars at the time and longest reigning IC champ, the HTM. Against a guy who at the time on his way to be to being a big star and beating the immortal Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate warrior. Sounds like a great match huh? Problem is Warrior being subed in at the last second,no build up at all because of the last minute sub, and the worst part it ends all in 30 seconds!!
