Everywhere except Orlando: Where retards run free I think they're just really excited to be there. If you're not Double J or Christian, you'll probably have people cheering their heads off for you. Which is hilarious, because it's probably the same people in the crowd most of the time. I mean, in Winnipeg, when we get a RAW or SmackDown, we react to pretty much EVERYONE. But if we had three tapings a month and a PPV, you'd think we'd start picking who we want to cheer and boo. Exactly, and that's why TNA keeps trying to find other places to do shows and (currently) PPVs, because they can't get logical wrestling crowd reactions out of the iMPACT Zone.

WWE can't get the crowd reactions they want because their crowds don't care about anyone except for Cena, Taker, DX, Lashley and Batista. TNA can't get the crowd reactions they want because their crowds love EVERYBODY.

The whole face/heel dynamic is pretty shaky in today's professional wrestling, at least outside of small but brilliantly booked and written promotions like ROH. People generally seem to cheer whoever is 'cool' and ignore everyone else. I think they're going crazy for Kurt Angle because he's a legitimate wrestling star. And Angle wasn't getting too many boos for his last run in WWE, either. He literally ran down the local sports teams, troops, and Jesus in ONE PROMO, and people still lost their minds when he came out. People just like to cheer Kurt Angle.

Yeah, the destruction of the heel/face dynamic is a big problem. Of course, the other problem could be that TNA keeps trying to put over the WWE as their top heel.

I guess that's the evolution of wrestling for you. Promotions just have to try harder, write better and give people reasons to react to their stuff. Or they could just throw some muscleheads out there to make poop and fart jokes. It works for WWE.

They need to have somebody steal Foley's ECW heel gimmick, where he'd have intentionally bad matches.

I'll say this much: seeing Angle not truly defined makes me want to watch to see how he ends up leaning.
I've got no problems with characters not being totally good or evil (though I definitely enjoy many characters like that, i.e. Jimmy Rave in ROH being pure badness, same with LAX in TNA), as long as they're consistent. Angle can be a tweener who's more concerned about his pride than anything else against Samoa Joe, but, barring something happening that warrants a character change, he should be that way in his next feud, as well. That's all I ask for, really.
I do think it's clear that Joe's the face at this point, though.

They need to have somebody steal Foley's ECW heel gimmick, where he'd have intentionally bad matches. BUT THAT'S X-PAC HEAT! PEOPLE WILL STOP WATCHING IF THEY DO THAT! Anyway, I really like this dynamic, no Hulk Hogan vs. Bobby Heenan. No Dusty Rhodes vs. Ric Flair. That age is passed, I wish they could have gone more gradual (life... isn't fair...) but that's Russo for you. Right now he seems to care more about giving people characters and making for interesting storylines than having an obvious face and an obvious heel you have to boo. And it helps a lot. That way you don't have the Alliance To End Hulkamania or the Masters of the Powerbomb or Rated RKO being formed for no other reason than both being heels. The heels have character. The faces have character. So the characters on their own become tweeners, but when they are put into a fued they can become faces and heels, but never completely one way (in a sense). It allows for them to move freely from fued to fued with continuity. As an example when the Joe vs. Angle fued dies down Joe could easily go heel for the title against either Sting or Abyss, and Angle could go face against A.J. Styles. This is because of the way their characters would react with each other. A.J. Styles isn't a traditional heel and neither is Angle, but their polarizations will shift when they fued even with the same personalities. Yes Angle can go sadistic when his pride is hurt, but A.J. Styles could just be a prick to Angle. It wouldn't be shocking. Joe can totally brutalize Sting. Or Joe could remain face against a Sting obsessed with keeping his title (like 2001 Austin). Things become less predictable and more interesting. Sting could turn heel at any minute, we've seen that. He's hinted at it in his promos (talking about how the title corrupts people), Abyss could go face at any moment. Jerry Lynn could go heel. Rhyno can go heel. Hell, even Cornette is going heel in his attempts to stop LAX. The only people who are fixed in any position are Chris Sabin and Christian Cage. They are the only traditional heels left. I like this dynamic much better. Times have changed sadly enough and we can't stick with bland Superface vs. somewhat intereresting superheel fighting out until Wrestlemania where the face eventually wins. And I think this is better than the crap we saw in WCW, my only worry is that Vince Russo doesn't realize what he's doing and screws it up. But maybe Cornette will figure it out. Though I think once he does he'll just get pissed off that it's not like the 70's.

Angle always worked better as a goofy heel. He was much better and much more entertaining on the mic at when he was like that.
