I recently came across some videos and pictures of Wrestle Kingdom on the PS2, and I must say that I really liked what I saw. There doesn't seem to be too many reviews of the game however.
Has anyone ever played/owned this, or any other games such as KOC, All-Star Pro Wrestling, etc? What are your thoughts about the game? I'm looking for some reccomendations as to which one to get, but right now, I'm leaning to Wrestle Kingdom.

KOC is really good but not as fluid as say the fire pro games. Fire Pro Wrestling Returns for the PS2 is the only wrestling game I still currently play and I have SDvsRAW07...but yeah for a more 3d experience go for KOC but if you are looking gameplay and moveset wise go for FPR

I really liked KOC... it take getting used to but the long matches are very rewarding and the roster is awesome.

KOC is much better than WK. WK plays more like Day of Reckoning, the only reason I bought it was to play Bernard.

I've been going nuts on youtube looking at WK and KOC videos. They both look great with their own pros and cons (I REALLY like WK, and the movelist and roster look sweet).
The only question with KOC is should I get KOC1 or KOC2.

Hearing the introductions, I have to ask What does the announcer say after the name of the wrestler? Sounds like "From New York" or something.

from what I've heard WK is ok, but it's just DOR with japanese wrestlers.
KOC is ment to be a wrestling simulator, so basically the whole point in that game is to get good matches from what I've heard though I haven't actually played it (what I don't have a modded PS2?!?! SUE ME!)
FPR though I have played (well not really but I've played games in the series) and I can tell you it's one of the best wrestling games on the market. the roster is HUGE!!! (sure you don't know who the hell everyone is... BUT YOU CAN RENAME THEM!!!) Everyone in the game wrestles like they're suppose too, like great muta would give his rib breaker (sorry I forgot what the move was called) and then go for the moonsault just like he does in real life. It's reall THE wrestling game to own if you want fast paced action and to see wrestlers wrestle like they're suppose too. Also the game has ridiculous customization features so if you want to put in superdragon you could put him in with his moveset and make him wrestle like... well superdragon.

Do you need to mod the PS2 to play FPR? Is that whole modding thing easy to do? It's always been a dream of mine to at least actually play games like that and KoC2, instead of gawk over them which I've done for the past like, 3 years.
Wrestle Kingdom, meh...I got 2 words for DoR controls.
