I noticed that Honky Tonk Man's site is down and replaced with some forum community, so I checked wiki (and we all know how accurate they are ) and it said that the site is closed because he's signed with the WWE. Anyone else have any info on this? I will laugh VERY hard if it's true, considering all the sh*t he talked about Vince and every single person in the company on a daily basis.

I hope not. Never really liked the guy. They're probably stick him with Cade and Murdoch if it is true.

Not unless there's been an upsurge in Elvis Impersonation Fandom. Although how closely does McMahon and company follow the internet belly-aching of former employees? I recall Test bitching and moaning but he was rehired.

Well did he sign with WWE as a performer/road agent...or just a Legends contract? I remember the company offering him one, but he turned it down.

I know he signed a contract to have a classic figure made, though I think it was an independant thing like Bruno and Warrior, but I don't know of any other stuff

I doubt he signed a Legends contract. He's really adamant in keeping the rights to the name and gimmick.

If so, I hope his long sideburns, slicked back hair, and pink Cadillac are coming soon to a TV screen near you.

He did sign a legends contract to make a figure. It was posted on wrestlingfigures.com It's a separate contract directly with Jakks, independent of WWE Legends Contract.

Honky said he was offered a Legends Contract about two years ago or something like that. He quickly and literally wiped his ass with it and sent it back.

Concidering how far behind McMahon is on the times he's either done one thing.
1. Watched the Ed Sullivan show. 2. Saw some Kaufman tapes.

I will laugh my ass off if it's true that Honky signed. All these years of badmouthing Vince about everything and he crawls back to him. I don't even see why Vince would even want him. His gimmick is tired and was only good for a year. If he was to show up he wouldn't get a pop and casual fans will not care. HTM has been on the indys but he asks for a $1000 for each show. He isn't even worth a buck a ponund. LOL

He HAS been over, but, there's no point signing him as he sucked in the ring when he was in his prime, and got by on gimmick alone. I would definitely LMAO @ him if he really DID sign, based on all the badmouthing he's done on WWE guys like Vince, Lawler, Shawn, and Piper. I'm going to go ahead and say this is someone mis-reporting the JAKKS contract he signed as a WWE contract, though.

Okay, cause I noticed his website where he'd post news on other wrestlers and WWE guys (usually going off on them for whatever reason, probably for existing) is now down and replaced with a message board. Then I read that he might've signed with the WWE and I just laughed my head off.

Yeesh. Whomever entered that rumor at Wikipedia didn't even bother posting it in the "biography" section.
Odd that his Jakks contract isn't even mentioned on that profile either.
