I dont rem too much about this version of the nWo but caught breif glimpses when i used 2 switch over...i was just wondering what your opinions were of them.
I do rem marking out for the cool new tshirt which sorta had a liquid metal look to it and a heel faction consisting of scott steiner, bret hart, nash and jarret seems quite cool 2 me but i just dont see how it would've worked without hall, hogan etc.i do rem seeing a bret hart figure wearing all grey..i assumed that was his nwo wear.
So what happened with this stable..were they around long? and were they any good?

In ten words or less...Why is this in WWE Current? It couldn't have less to do with the WWE, and it's 7 years past being current. I propose a move.

I marked for every nWo except for the Wolfpac after it became a face group for no reason. the announce team cheering like mad for Sting joining the nWo made absolutely no sense to me.
I also had issues with the nWo B Team after they "trimmed the fat" and got rid of Curt Hennig. Partly because I was a big Hennig mark but also because I hated the fact that Stevie Ray was in the group. I remember sarcastically saying "wow, they're trimming the fat of Curt while fat ass Stevie Ray stands there in charge."

No. I was sick of the nWo by 99, and when this rolled around I had already started to stop watching WCW. This didn't help matters.

If Robert Patrick was in it, MAYBE that could've helped the liquid metal look just a bit better, but unfortunately no.

It was good until Bret got injured. Since after that it was basically Jarrett ordering around the Harris Bros.

Hell no. The nWo concept was beyond dead at that point. Not only that, but Bret Hart had no business being used as anything but a mega-face after coming to WCW after the Montreal screwjob. They f***ed up with him so badly it's not even funny.

I did. I was 11 or 12 but I was a HUGE Bret Hart fan. So anytime Bret was on I watched. They had all the titles i THINK at one time so I thought that was cool. But Bret shouldnt have been anywhere near the nWo.

No. I was sick of the nWo by 99, and when this rolled around I had already started to stop watching WCW. This didn't help matters. I felt the same way. On the other hand, I marked out b/c Bret Hart was part of the faction, and because Jeff Jarrett was at his charismatic best (referring to audiences as "Slapnuts").

I've never seen Jarrett as anything more than a midcarder. I'm sorry, all you Jarrett marks, but I know I can't be the only one. He seemed to be the most out of place to me, with main-eventer Bret Hart, main-eventer Scott Steiner, and main-eventer Kevin Nash hanging out with "Ain't I Great" J-E-double-F HAHA!! J-A-double-R, E-double-T ... Double J, Jeff Jarrett, the guy who had to have a re-match with Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly for the Intercontinental title only a few years before, and who had lost the IC belt to Chyna more recently than that. After this version disbanded and NWO 2000 showed up, with Double J and Skull & 8-Ball, I had lost all hope for WCW. (how can you "take over" with a midcarder and a dull tag team?)

Did anyone answer the question? Or did we just have it moved so no one would have to embarrass themselves? It's not like the subject title was cryptic. If you're not interested in the subject header, then just don't click on the message. It should be simple, but maybe I am over-estimating a few people here.
Anyway, here's the story as I remember-- When Vinny Roo took over the booking in WCW, one of his first choices was to bring back the New World Order. As such, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall appeared in the crowd to declare "We're getting the band back together."
Nothing much happened for the next couple months as far as the letters N. W. O. were concerned, and although the Outsiders interfered in the middle of the WCW World title finals between Bret Hart and Chris Benoit (they did not influence the conclusion), there was no additional reference to the N. W. O.
Another month passed, and WCW Champion Bret Hart faced Bill Goldberg at Starrcade with Roddy Piper as the referee. It was a Montreal-esque screwjob (I didn't watch the PPV) but nothing was really settled, so there was a rematch the next night on WCW Monday Nitro.
By this point, the Outsiders regained the WCW Tag Team titles and Chris Benoit was WCW United States champion, via his Ladder match victory over Jeff Jarrett at Starrcade.
In addition to a rematch of the main event, there was a Ladder rematch between Benoit and Jarrett; this time with a gimmicked ladder where the steps did not work, which enabled Jeff Jarrett to win the championship. (Sure, it made Starrcade a bit pointless for the storylines but the ladder match was nothing of value in excitement.)
The next event saw Bret Hart and Goldberg wrestle, and when the referee took a bump, the Outsiders came out and punked Goldberg, which enabled Bret Hart to score a pinfall (in truth, Roddy Piper ran down and covered Goldberg [trying to protect him] during the referee's count, but we'll ignore the unorganized slop). After the match, Bret Hart, Jeff Jarrett, and Scott Hall held their respective titles up high as Kevin Nash declared, "The Band is Back Together!"
The next member to join was Scott Steiner, who was rumored to have a career-ending ankle injury. During his retirement speech, the NWO crashed the party. Bret delivered my favorite quote of this era, "If it makes you feel any better, you were never that good to begin with." But it was all a ploy and Scott Steiner was able to continue to wrestle, thus joining the group.
The unit did not stay together long, and the tag titles were vacated when Scott Hall went MIA, and of course, Bret Hart's concussion forced him to drop the WCW title, which only left Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, and Scott Steiner. Unfortunately, they did not stay united for long after Vinny Roo went on hiatus.
After Vinny Roo returned in the middle of 2000, he reunited Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, and himself (without its NWO banner) in a low-key episode from Las Cruces, NM, where Kevin Nash won the WCW World title. It was followed up with the highly under-rated War Games 2000 (great match) but thereafter, things went back downhill.
I thought it was a good try and I really marked out for the group, but WCW already had real problems with the AOL Time Warner mandates, so they never had a prayer at this point in time in making anything stick.
