Granted, ECW sucked before he left, but it seems that ECW has gotten MUCH worse since his departure. Say what people will about his ability, but he busted his ass and was built up in a way as ECW World Champion that you were just waiting for an awesome match in where he'd be knocked off. Then finally, it happens... at the hands of Bobby Lashley. From this point, things have just been dull. Lashley hadn't been built up long enough on the ECW brand to take the title from Big Show. It was just as though he showed up and got the title without being integrated into the show enough for anyone to care.
That and he just sucks.
But anyhow, I feel that WWE made a huge mistake in letting Big Show leave in the manner he did. His fueds with RVD, Sabu, and the mini-fued with Sandman were all pretty damn interesting. Lashley fueds with Test.
I miss Big Show.

I miss Big Show in general.
But really in the end, if he is hurting as much as I have heard he has been, the mans health is much more important then anything else.
Can't really blame him for calling it a day there.

Seeing him go out was sad.
I hope that he can heal up and live out his life comfortably.
And I would certainly prefer him in ECW with his strap still than Choc Lesnar.

Compared to Lashley, at least I could like Show no matter his evilness or goofyness.
We want our Big Show tonight!

Can't really blame him for calling it a day there. Definitely. I'm glad he was allowed to go to take care of his health. I just wish that they'd let him go out by putting over someone who actually would be over and could carry the brand. They basically built him up for 6 months just to waste victory over him on Lashley.

Shame that he got in the condition that he just couldn't take the workload anymore, he was carrying that brand on his shoulders.
I wish he was still there.

I really think the departure of both Paul's have really nosedived ECW, granted some matches are still entertaining, but not the main event scene.

He was put on a sinking ship of a brand and did his damnedest to keep it afloat, just as he's always done. He left for the right reasons and no one should really doubt him for why he left...
But yeah, he's missed. Damned double-edged swords...

I was never a Big Show fan to begin with so when he got the strap I was pretty bummed out. But yes, it has gotten worse since he left. At least Big Show was credible.

Big Show looked good as Champion because they booked him against the likes of Ric Flair, Undertaker, Kane, and .. Batista I guess.. and let them do hardcore matches.
Bobby Lashley gets booked against Test, Hardcore Holly, and RVD in non-hardcore matches.
....Yeah.

He has sucked for years, but at least he's better than Lashley.
Still, at least Lashley is in shape.

I miss him. I've always liked The Big Show despite him not being the greatest wrestler out there. He was one of the hardest working guys I've seen over the past few years & it was a shame he went out the way he did. Lashley. Ugh.

Wow - I couldn't disagree more. I have no problem with Big Show but Lashley is a much more exciting performer.
The problem with ECW is not Lashley but the lack of a top heel contender. In the short term, I say bring over Umaga.

I got pretty bored pretty quickly watching Big Show lope his way around the ring week after week. At least Lashley is exciting to watch.
