After watching the Rumble last night, a couple of things struck me as odd with King Booker. Firstly, he dropped the old popular Booker T catchphrase "Tell me... he didn't just say that" which was a nice comedy bit. But then later in the Royal Rumble match, after being eliminated, he opened a serious can of whoopass on Kane. Kane, the guy GMs like to sic on poor hapless heels like King Booker. But there Booker is, wailing away on Kane like a pitbull, which seemed very unlike the cowardly King Booker character.
Has the good King run his course?

It'll be interesting to see what they do with him, especially in regards to Wrestlemania build-up.

I liked it better when King Booker had the belt and was ruling the Smackdown "kingdom". I'm thinking he will hold onto the "King" title until the next King of the Ring tourney.

A Kane/Booker T feud would be pretty interesting... I think they could have some enjoyable matches...

Well, I think the King Booker gimmick has run its course. It's time he became Booker T again so he can get back to basics and WWE can give the king title to someone else when the King of the Ring happens.

Hmmm, i like the King Booker gimmick, where as the Booker T thing was stale.
Returning to that seems a step back for Booker when they could let the gimmick run four more months and have a king vs new king fued after this years KOTR

Staleness is setting it.

Staleness is setting it. I don't agree that staleness is setting in, I think it might just be that since his feud with Batista he hasn't really had a feud. He hasn't had a chance to play it up the way he did when he had numerous feuds as champion. Now that he seemingly has a Kane feud starting up I'd like to see him stick with the whole King bit.
