because the WWE legit don't like his style, hes a move caller and a factual guy as opposed to a "storyteller" I mean I think thats also the reason behind Cole and Lawler last year too
but this year JBL saved that Rumble
they only keep Styles around to stop anyone else employing him and to give their ECW "credibility"

Because they didnt need an ECW announcer since it was VERY obvious no one from ECW had anything even resembling a chance at winning the match.

Because he wouldn't really have added much to a match that doesn't showcase moves or even that much wrestling.
Why have too many people talkling over the top?

Actually Joey Styles is kind of a storyteller even on ECW. Not by his own choosing I'm certain, but the sad truth is that him and Tazz tell stories. Like when CM Punk and Mike Knox had their feud, Joey spent the entire match talking about Kelly Kelly instead of calling the moves.
