Remember how every so often, someone who was wrestling on the earlier part of the card went on to wrestle in Rumble match itself? The only person I can think of to have done that and win was Brock Lesnar (he's also the last person I can think of who's wrestled twice on that show). I think it's kind of a cool thing for wrestlers to come out for a regular match and then the "Ramble Romble" (tm Vladimir Kozlov) itself. What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure the Hardys and Johnny Nitro are pulling double duty tomorrow night. Not sure who else.

Johnny Nitro, Matt hardy, and Jeff Hardy are doing it this year.
In 2005, Shawn Michaels and Edge also had a match and were in the Rumble.

Bret got his leg kicked out of his leg and co-won the rumble once. but besodes him and brock, I dont think its happpend.

I also hated the no double duty rule in the mid 90's, Scott Hall never was in Royal Rumble because he was always in the undercard. No wonder a lot of the Rumble from the 90's sucked, they were filled with jobbers while the uppercard guys were in the undercard.

I think Bam Bam did in 94, Piper did in 92...there's a few more.

Royal Rumble 1999 had virtually the whole undercard doing double duty:
Ken Shamrock vs Billy Gunn IC match Road Dogg vs Big BossMan X-Pac vs Gangrel were all in The Rumble
The only matchs that didn't do Double Duty were Sable vs Luna, though would have loved to see them both participate. Hey Chyna did that year! The other being Mankind vs The Rock in the "I Quit" match for the Title. However The Rock did do a cameo at the end of the Rumble match.

What about Foleys Triple duty?

What about Foleys Triple duty? Dude, Mankind, Cactus Jack and Dude Love aren't the same guy in a different outfit. I saw them all talking on the titantron on that episode of RAW. Seriously, next you'll be trying to convince me that Christopher Daniels and Curry Man are the same guy, and not just really good friends.

I recall in 2005 Kurt Angle pulled double-duty. He was in a Triple Threat WWE Championship Match and then in the Royal Rumble as well.
Maybe that will happen again this year, if Mr. Kennedy loses to Batista or Umaga to John Cena.

you know that the dudleys appeared on the royal rumble card every year between 2000 and 2004, but were never in the rumble itself?

Don't listen to this guy Starr He's one of those people who believes Mr America was Hulk Hogan......Makes me sick ;D He took a lie detector test and everything!

I definitely see Umaga rampaging his way into the Rumble after losing to Cena. I predict he'll take out Dreamer, and steal his number.

I dont miss double duty, especially not tonight.
MNM and the Hardys shouldn't be in it (tbh im expecting something to happen to them anyway, that would leave three spots, which is the typical number of suprise/buest/return spots).

I really hope that London and Spanky can somehow take spots away from Hardyz or MNM. I never got to see them in the indies, and I'd like to see what tricks they'd pull out in terms of how they'd be eliminated. Haas would be nice as well.

So the moral of the story is that this thread has been proven wrong.
