if they brought back the oldschool pulp fiction promos.
I mean you could've gotten all the promo time you wanted at the end of the show and no one would've complained... right?

The only thing that would've saved ECW is booking it like an ECW show.

Yeah, booking ECW as an ECW show sure helped it first time around.

Booking it like an ECW show would have worked. I went to a house show when they were still running by themselves and it was booked ECW style and it was awesome.
Guys like Dupree, Holly, Test, Knox and Thorn fit perfect in the ECW formula and played very well with a more ECW like crowd. Especially Test and Thorn, they played with the crowd a lot.

Booking ECW events in the east coast area helps as well. And not hopelessly crushing the ECW originals.

Yeah, booking ECW as an ECW show sure helped it first time around. Ignorance at it's finest. The booking didn't kill ECW. Lack of money killed ECW. If ECW had the kind of money to play with as WWE or WCW had, it would still be around under it's original ownership, and I dare say it would be the number one wrestling promotion in America. If it was paying it's wrestlers big bucks like WWE and WCW were, none of the ECW wrestlers would have left, thus leaving WWE without many of it's current stars.
