You guys are laughing at The Great One for doing a cameo in a Disney show? A disney show that is watched by more people than there are people watching Raw? Let me school you on something I have heard for years and learned myself, as a father. Kids are the absolute strongest fanbase to market to because their parents will buy them anything. Say Rock gets 25,000 new fans by making an appearance on that show. That is 25,000 more tickets being sold to his movies. Multiply that by 2 when you figure in the adults that will buy a ticket for themselves to take that young child. The Rock says, know your roll, shut your mouth, and do some research. He's making more money starring in movies and accepting acting gigs. Oh yeah, ask Will Smith how much it hurt his pocketbook to focus more on the "kid friendly" genre of entertainment. Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna shine this thread up real nice, turn it sideways and .... hit the post reply button. Props. Good point.

I'm still amazed Disney can make any major actor who stars in one of their movies appear on one of their little crappy tween shows.

I'm pretty sure the A-list actors they've gotten (i.e., Depp) don't have to do it. Rock's good, but he's not A-list yet. Plus, like the other guys said, it'll expand his fanbase.

Should be interesting. BTW, this isn't the first crappy tween show the Rock has made an appearance in. He was on Lil Romeos show on Nickelodeon once.

I'd say The Rock IS an A-List star, only just though. And all you people saying his career is on a downturn are WISHING, his doing a frign' cameo on a high rated kids show, not a porno.

What? How is that complaining? I made a comment that Rock's career is apparently on the downturn. I would certainly consider the Disney Channel a low point if I was in Rock's shoes. Ya seeing as how one of the movies he is in this year is being produced by Disney. So ya bad move. Real bad move. Don't make a cameo on a show that just paid you big bucks to star in one of their feature flims. Don't worry, Spanky hates everything. Heck, if it makes money why shouldn't Rock do it? I know I would.

Im an idiot, I clicked on this thread fully expecting the Rock to be doing something with Bush. I honestly expected the same thing. And Ron, I don't hate everything, I just made a comment, and apparently I was ignorant of the circumstances surrounding said comment. Nothing more than that.

You guys realize Rock has a bunch of big movies coming out this year right? This isnt a "fall from grace", its just another small acting gig that still pretty much benfits The Rock...

Typical smark response: This is a fall from grace. Disney Channel? Come on.
Translated smark response: This isn't being on the TV of millions of whiney fans every Monday on RAW. Working for one of the richest companies and one with constantly moneymaking movies? Come on.

Phew! I thought this thread meant the Rock to be George Dubya's fitness advisor! If that was the case? I'd recommend The Great Khali to be GWB's speech therapist! ;D

This is a case of some fans wanting Rock to fail so he can come crawling back to a genre that he has nothing left to do in.
Rock is making more money in Hollywood than he would be in wrestling WITHOUT the demands on his body. Be happy for him.
And I agree with whoever said Rock is better off marketing to children. Rock has enough charisma to attract a new fanbase (the ones that didn't watch him during the Attitude Era), and certainly Disney is a good place to get that.

Yea, the simple fact that it is Disney Channel make its ok, who are you to doubt Disney? Seriously, even the child stars that get a part on a disney show are in mighty good shape and the doors are wide open for them afterwards, Rock is doing a good thing.
