Lately, people have been relating pro wrestling and MMA. People boo Vladmir Koslov (sp?) when he's on, or double double e edits the boos into shows.
Does Vince hate MMA?

Totally don't care because Kozlov said (just as I hoped he would) "I could beat, all 29 other guys in the Royal Rumble" ;D
But, I think Vince may hate how some MMA luminaries seek to take very scathing shots at the Wrestling business (see Ortiz, Tito)

What does Vladmir Koslov have to do with MMA? He is a Mixed Martial Arts and Sambo world champion. By getting people to hate him, Vince is expressing his hate of MMA. Or something like that.

What about C.M. Punk, the MIXED MARTIAL ARTS SPECIALIST, who uses a combination of BRAZILLIAN JU-JITSU and MUAI THAI KICKBOXING ...

Not to mention Ken Shamrock having an IC title run and Dan Severn getting an okay push. I miss Lion's Den matches. I'd really like to see another one of them.

It'd help if any of the members of the Lion's Den or anybody who had a passing relation to it (Steve Blackman for instance) were in the WWE.

I think the only problem Vince has with MMA is that their ppvs are beating the crap out of his. That is all.

well, Tino Ortez is good enough to say ANYone isn't a real athlete. But, that doesn't mean the average MMA fighter could beat ANY wrestler. I'm sure some wrestlers could take a lot of MMA stars. But, I'd put my money on the best MMA guy against the best wrestler (in a shoot fight) It wouldn't be a fair fight. MMA guys train to legitimately hurt trained fighters and make them submit or knock them out. Wrestlers train to create the illusion of physicality while NOT hurting their opponents. Really, if anyone could stand up to a good MMA fighter and have more than a puncher's chance, I'd pick someone from the Japanese promotions, where they pretty much go full force on one another all the time in terms of striking.

Even then, most of the time that a wrestler isn't fed an easy MMA win in Japan, it's a first round knock-out usually due to getting the head kicked off of them. Inoki's fascination with shoots killed of a lot of guys credibility.
I hate this integration of MMA and wrestling to the point where MMA gets covered in wrestling magazines. MMA isn't wrestling and wrestling isn't MMA. It's madness!

Vince McMahon may very well hate Mixed Martial Arts... But he hates foreigners even more! So either way Oleg (Vladamir Koslov) is a guaranteed Heel! Believe me folks, we people from outside the Good Ol' U.S of A aren't really that bad!

First off these are the pro wrestlers that would have done ok in MMA in their primes.
Farmer Burns Frank Gotch Ed Lewis Harley Race Bob Backland Charlie Hass Sheldon B Brock lesner Kurt Angle
and pretty much any other wrestler that has competed on a high collegent or Olympic level. I did not bother listing guys who actually have a background in MMA.
Now for what I would lie to see. I would love to see real pro wrestling. Not the crap Rulan Gardner had on PAX. It would have the basic rules pro wrestling the way they are set up by the NWA. In other words built so that wrestlers could put on legit displays of catch as catch can wrestling. Submissions and the suplea would still be legal as would open palm strikes. A pin would also still be the same. To me that would be better than the crud the WWE is putting out and better than the UFC.

With th eboing of Kozlov, the fans boo'd him on the very first RAW he appeared on because he was a foreigner, not because he was an MMA guy.

I hate the MMA Vs Wrestling discussion, the two are TOTALLY different. No they are not. Many MMA guys have wrestling backgrounds Colman,Randalman and Ortiz are all former UFC champions who have wrestling backgrounds. What is totally different however is MMA and sports entertainment.
