Theres been a lot of dream matches that have never took place, but could have. Austin vs. Hogan comes to mind. Even back to the days of Hogan vs. Flair in 92', besides one house show match. What guys were in the same company at the same time that never got a chance to have a fued or a match, thanks to injury, brand extension, one of the wrestlers leaving, being face or heel at the same time, or in Eddie's case death. What matches would have you loved to see, had a chance of happening but didnt.

The only ones that I can think of for me are Lesnar/Triple H, Lesnar/Benoit and, Goldberg/Austin.

And to the other poster, Lesnar did face Benoit once in Smackdown in late 2003, which was the beginning of Benoit's push to win the World Title. I guess HBK/Guerrero would be up there.

Yeah but, I meant a full blown feud where the matches would be back and forth. Maybe an Iron Man or Submission Match. Something more than match that is easily forgettable.

Sure theres been matches, but also I would have loved to see a full fued between Eddie and Triple H, and I really dont think Angle and Jericho had a good fued to the two of them outside the triple threat with Benoit.

I guess different strokes for different folks, I loved Rock/Guerrero and thought it was a tremendoust TV match without having a huge storyline build behind it.
I'm sure they'd have more if they did have an extended program, but as long as the 2 go at it and it's a great match, I could care less for storylines, such as the Taker/Angle match from last year.

If it's any consolation, there's a fairly humorous fanfic match of Goldberg/Austin in an old WOW magazine. Not Women of Wrestling, the other one.

Bret Hart vs. Hulk Hogan in 1993, where Hogan could have officially "passed the torch". Unfortunately, Bret was shorter than 6'5" and weighed less than 275 lbs, so Hogan had little interest.
Also, I thought Chris Benoit would have made a great opponent for Brock Lesnar in a PPV Main Event and could've put up a better match against him than Rock, Undertaker or any other "bigger" star than Benoit has.
Finally, CM Punk and Kurt Angle. Don't get me wrong, Angle vs. Joe is a great substitute, but if Kurt could've hung in ECW for a little longer I think these two could've had great matches.

Steve Austin vs. Goldberg.
In the late '90's, it was THE dream match. WWE sorta had a chance to do it too.

Not great matches, but for potentially great storys or just segments. I would have liked to have seen the following, assume the guys are in there prime at peak of there career.
Mankind (Original Version) vs Ultimate Warrior. Think of the mind games, and the bizarre story they could have told. Or even Warrior trying to sell the Mandible Claw. Would have been fun.
Val Venis (Starting out/IC Champ days) vs Randy Savage w/Elizabeth. Yep basically switched Dustin rhodes and Terri for Savage and Liz. I think it would have worked and the matches would have been solid.
Boogeyman v Damien Demento. Just for the sake of being crazy.
Ravishing Rick Rude vs Shawn Micheals. I think it would have been a classic in and out of the ring.
Bruiser Brody vs Steve Austin the Brawl to end all Brawls.
This is stretching the could have happened to the limit, or in some cases just down right breaking it.

I wanted to see "I Lie, I Cheat I Steal" Eddie Guerrero vs. "Obnoxious" WWE Jericho. Or a WWE Malenko vs. Mysterio, with both as face, or Mysterio as the heel.

The one match we never got. The three "legends" of the Attitude Era. Why didnt Rock vs Triple H vs Stone Cold happen?

The one match we never got. The three "legends" of the Attitude Era. Why didnt Rock vs Triple H vs Stone Cold happen? Because Austin was hurt and had to go for neck surgery around the time of SS 99. I remember ordering the PPV strictly for that match and being pissed when they replaced him with Big Show.

They were never in the WWE at the same time. Hart left in '97 and Angle debut in '99.
