Where would Pillman be now?

If the late great(est) Brian Pillman was still with us, where do you think his career would be?

I honestly think he'd be retired from in ring stuff do to his injuries. He might be on creative plus be commentary or some other on camera role though.

I think he could've stepped into the role Austin had during the Attitude Era, and been a multi-time champion. He'd probably have a more limited role today.

Austin was already in that role when Pillman was there and on his way to the World Title. I do think he and Austin would have had a feud over the World Title maybe even trading it once or twice though.

Why must we put dead wrestlers on an imaculate pedastal and build them up as Gods?

Pillman at the time was on the downside of his career and his ankle was shot.

He may have gone on to be a color commentator or road agent or someting. But no where near the world title realistically.

He would have fueded with Austin for the title for sure. He would now be in more of a GM type role, because he tried commentary and it ate at him that he couldn't work and be more involved. And I'm gonna name drop, shamelessly, and tell you all that he wrestled the pencil in one of my best friends livng room. That ruled.

Through out his entire life Pillman was a fighter and an innovater. Every time life threw him a curve ball he managed to make best of the situation and be quit successful at it. I'm sure his wrestling career would have wrapped up by the end of 1997. Maybe a career vs. Marlena match w/ Goldust. Does anyone know what was planned for the rest of their program???
I'm sure Pillman would have stayed in the WWe after Montreal. I bet Pillman would have replaced Rude after he left and played a manager the role of Dx. During the Austin/McMahon fued I bet Pillman would play a tweener role w/ both Vince and Austin not trusting Pillman. All the while I'm sure Pillman would be dabbling in the creative side of the business.

I think that Pillman towards the end of his career was more reliant on his character than his in-ring skill. I don't think that he sucked, he was just a shell of his former self. Still, that shell plus his tremendous personality would have lead to a tremendous feud with Austin over the title. I think it would have also stretched the life in Austin's character out because a long feud with Austin would have been so engrossing that it would have kept his character fresh longer. If he was still alive today I think he would be in a tag team with someone like Helms or someone like that as his protoge, much like Batista and Flair was a few years ago.

Any wrestler who died was on a path to set attendance and ratings records before he died. That's just the rule on this forum. Some people even think Owen Hart was going to win the WWF title eventually, even though upon his death he was in a comedy gimmick that no one took seriously.

Death = overhype.

In keeping with the tradition, Brian Pillman, even though one of my last memories of him was when he wore a dress to the ring, would have feuded with Steve Austin for years before winning every major title simultaneously. He was that good.
