The Bite With Vic Venom was always my favorite. I remember one article he did called "Fried Brains and Thanks" which was probably the best article I ever read in a WWF/E magazine. I remember this vaguely, but I always liked Vic Venom. Does anyone remember what I think would have been one of the first RAW magazines (1996?) that had a cover story on Mankind, complete with glossy color photos of people like Sparkky Plugg, Bart Gunn, and Aldo Montoya spitting up due to the mandible claw?

I got them from around mid 1991 through some time in 1993 or 1994 (probably 94, I remember getting an issue with a little blurb comparing Man Mountain Rock to Mantaur...WRESTLECRAPAPALOOZA). Lot of fun back then. Wish I could find any old ones so I could read some "Brain Storms"; I was too young to appreciate them back in the day. Also, each issue back then usually ended with either an interesting or funny pic, with a little paragraph under it. One that stuck out to me was Sherri Martel having dinner wtih the Brooklyn Brawler, each on opposite sides of a table, with Alfred Hayes in the middle, but bound and gagged with a tablecloth, looking very concerned. I remember they compared Kama to Rocky Balboa, and the article completely jobbed Rocky to Kama. I also remember they started experimenting with a comic strip. I vaguely remember one with the Headbangers getting into some trouble with Mankind's boiler room.

I just remembered another one of my favorite Vic Venom articles, where he put JR over huge during one of his abscensces and gave a totally touching and completely sersious tribute using JR's black hat as a metaphor. It was brilliant stuff.

That article was called "For Women & Kids Only." When Stephanie stopped writing it, they changed it to, "For Kids Only."
Man, you guys are bringing back so many memories for me! I got my first WWF Magazine at Dunham's Discount Sports: the September 1992 issue with Papa Shango on the cover. Stories included an interview with the cover subject, a preview of SummerSlam '92, Nailz's attack on the Big Bossman, and Tatanka (Buffalo!) winning a 40-man battle royal.
Even though kayfabe was strictly enforced back then, I can recall one instance where the company may have been pulling back the curtain, so to speak. Around the time steroid allegations began to surface, there was an article called "Now It's Our Turn" which (I believe) was supposed to give the company's side of the story.
Anyone remember "That's EntertainMAT" where the wrestlers would review CDs & movies?

I DO however remember reading Man Mountain Rock's reviews because he had a sweet WWF guitar. Happy to bring back memories for you.
