how is it unanimous this is the worst show, RAW to me is easily the worst show and the WON awards also reflect that so i cant be the onyl that feels that way.At least in ECW you are guaranteed 25 minutes of wrestling on the hour. ECW's won a number of awards from other news sites as the worst show, particularly LAW. And when those guaranteed 25 minutes of wrestling on the hour include Lashley VS Test, it's hard for people to get real excited.

ECW is moving in the right path.
Burke/Punk had a great match.
Thorn got put over by RVD just for hanging in and almost winning the over-the-top challenge match.
Lashley/Test is seemingly set up so that Hardcore Holly interferes in their match. If Holly interferes, he would most likely push into the title scene. Who was Holly feuding with? CM Punk. Rejoice Internet Fans, Rejoice! They may push CM Punk into a title feud.
Marcus Cor Van will show his "Month Brown-ness" soon enough and start to get over. He could have a decent feud with Tommy Dreamer. In fact, imagining how Dreamer would sell the Pounce makes me smile.
Knox could easily have a feud with whoever rescues Kelly Kelly from his "toments."
Sandman is popular and can be over in the matter of a cane shot.
There is so much potential that it seems wrong for people to say, "Fail. Keep the good ones, cut the rest."

the thing just started. Didn't people doom Smackdown before it got underway? Didn't people give TNT about 2 years to live or die? Stop jumping the gun. I'm sure their ratings are far and away better than whatever sci fi schlock was originally in that time slot.
That being said, I don't watch ECW. It's crap.Test + Bob Holly + Stevie Richards = I don't care.

I say keep it but please try to get Paul E. to book the shows. And also stop putting it in front of Smackdown fans and put it in the Hammerstein Ballroom every week.

I think the addition of Monty's the best bet. As someone mentioned, one of the major problems with ECW is the lack of interesting or threatening heels. Sometimes a champion is only as good as the competition, and they haven't provided a good foil for Lashley, which in my opinion is why his reign has suffered. I think Monty would work very well in that respect.
Also, I think the addition of another title would be a major help, as the ECW website seemed to suggest recently. Bringing back the TV Title would give the midcard a better sense of purpose and make it more involving for the fans. When there's such a small roster and a decent midcard title, it means everyone's got a shot at a championship, and that makes every match matter in some way.

ECW is moving in the right path. What path? The show has zero direction. So great everyone thinks it was dull and boring. And now the man with an undefeated streak needs Kelly to flash his opponents to win. The mere thought of Thorn being put over by RVD should be blasphemy. This means it won't happen. If by "decent feud" you mean squash him within 2 minutes, then I guess you're right. And still no one would care. Which means he'll likely job to Thorn, Lashley, Knox, and/or Test. The reason people say "kill it" is because they have so much potential, but they just refuse to use it.

ECW is far and away my favorite Sports Entertainment/Wrestling program on TV. Better than Raw and Impact by far and equal to or better than Smackdown. Like Doomrider said, if they called it something else people would be singing its praises but, since they can't read or choose to ignore everything that said this wasn't going to be the Old ECW they shit on it. It is amazing how many people say: - It sucks and I haven't watched it in months
or
- It sucks and needs to die but, watch every week.
If you haven't watched it months how do you know it sucks and if you do watch and think it sucks why the hell are you watching it?

Wow, good to see we aren't playing favorites...I guess Thorn isn't on your list of "Potential they refuse to use." I bet CM Punk is though... Dreamer is there to put over talent. Cor Van could easily take the next roll of "Person who keeps knocking Tommy down in order for him to get back up." At least Marcus can do more than Khali. Sandman has some support, he has a new t-shirt coming out. he may not win as much as he loses, but this business isn't about Ws & Ls. Calm down, and try and at something in an optimistic way.

So by that logic then absoloutely nobody should ever complain EVER about the crap that's getting fed to them on this TV show?
I still tune in occasionally because i grew up with ECW being my favourite of the big 3, and as the name is there it'll still draw me in no matter what - that's what i take exception to with this brand, the fact that it's called ECW, when in truth it couldn't be any further from what ECW was if it tried. They don't even have Paul Heyman invovled any more.

Make it 2 hours and add more talent. More PPV's would be nice (kill some of the WWE ones while your at it.)

I still hate how Lashley won the title almost immediately after appearing in ECW. He had never won a top titles before, and yet he immediately wins this one? It makes the ECW title look like the equivalent of the US title (from Smackdown) rather than a genuine top-tier title. The fact that Batista beat up Heyman when he tried to get him to join and Lashley immediately signed to leave devalues the ECW title even more. Batista was too "good" to compete for the ECW title, but Lashley wasn't?

On occasion, I have been known to be less that optimistic when it comes to the E. But in my defense, as far as ECW goes, they haven't given me any reason to be. I was mostly just makeing a joke, but you're damn right he's not on my list of "potential." (BTW--where did I mention a list?) Mordecai sucked, and so does Thorn. Perhaps it's just being stuck in a bad gimmick. Maybe squashes put over new talent, but they're boring to watch. Sorry. No, it's about entertaining the fans, which they aren't doing.

If they slap the Title on Test this Sunday, kiss it goodbye.
But I will throw this out there. Would someone like Super Dragon create interest?

So by that logic then absoloutely nobody should ever complain EVER about the crap that's getting fed to them on this TV show? No but, if you hate it enough to call for its end on a weekly basis as some do on here and other sites then why watch? When there are so many other options on TV, the Internet, DVDs, theaters and, radio then why torture yourself? Why not ignore it and let it go away? Do you need a reminder of why you hate it or something? If you heard it was better, watched and didn't enjoy it, more power to you. That is directed at those who watch week after week and and bitch about how bad it is yet STILL watch.

I just think they need someone who's got a bit of a dangerous feel to him. Marcus Cor Vette is cool and everything but he's a charisma machine. Dragon slaps drinks out of fan's hands. It might do the brand some good in a possible lawsuit kind of way.

If it gets cancelled, people lose jobs, there is no way the originals will make it on Raw/Smackdown and neither will some of the others.
I say lengthen it, leave it as basically a tv developmental area with talent drawn from ovw/dsw. This would allow for the introduction of a secondary title, allow talent national tv time, allow for longer matches, more promo time to help talent get over and eventually allow the show to develope.
No, it isnt the old ecw, but at least the originals have jobs now and ppl like Sabu and RVD cant be over punished for their pointless drug use like they would be on the other shows where they were not so visibly needed

I'd rather watch a slow-paced match between Punk and Burke that contains a three minute chinlock than ANY sort of match between Donald Trump and Vince McMahon.
