Yep. Extremely dull match. Such a shame, because I think the crowd wanted to like it, but neither man gave them an opportunity to get into it. And this is coming from someone who likes both men a great deal. I think the problem with that match was it was booked to go to a time limit draw, and there was just too much stalling and a lack of any real action. That's the only match on WM IV that I actually FF through, which is a shame because I liked both Roberts and Rude. They just didn't compliment each other very well, as I found many of their matches to be dull.

I loved Wrestlemania 16 because it rewarded each and every wrestler who were huge reasons in the E having its boom. Theres nothing wrong with tag and six man matches, especially when you have the talent to do so. The hardcore battle royal, ladder match, 3 way ic/euro match, main event etc. How couldnt you like this wrestlemania?

The hardcore battle royal, ladder match, 3 way ic/euro match, main event etc. How couldnt you like this wrestlemania? Easy. The main event was booked horribly w/ the McMahon's in every corner. It took away from the match itself; I mean, The Rock, HHH, Big Show and Foley should have been able to put on a good match all by themselves without Vince, Shane, Steph & Linda. The I-C / Euro match was good, but could have been booked a whole lot better. The TLC match was the only redeeming match of the night. The big thing which drags this WM down is the crowd and location. I mean, we just had a WM at the "Pond" in Anahiem 4 yrs earlier w/ WM XII, and the LA crowds just don't get into the action as much as hotter markets like Chicago, NY, Toronto, Detroit, Philly, St Louis, etc. You could pretty much hear a pin drop all the way through the event right up until The Rock delivered the People's Elbow to Steph.

I didnt like it because my favorite wrestler at the time, Foley, REALLY let himself go in the month and a half he was "retired" and it showed. More than I thought possible.

Wrestlemania 2. (They never used roman numerals for that one) I saw this show back when it happened and i was 6 and it still entertains me today. Bulldogs/Dream Team, Funks vs JYD and Tito Santana, NFL vs WWF battle royal, Hercules vs Ricky Steamboat and Hogan vs Bundy in the big blue cage were all enjoyable matches for me. Even the bad stuff (Savage/Steele, Elmer/Adonis and Piper/T) had some (mostly unintentionally) funny moments and didn't take up too much time.
The 3 city thing was unique but not executed very well. There were just too many C-list celebrities that no one hardly remembers and the guest announcing was horrible. Susan St. James and Kathie Lee Crosby had no idea what to say. At least Elvira had Jesse there to interact with so it wasn't as bad. The production values were bad too but this also was very early in the PPV era. I still enjoy the show over all.
