(Yes I was too lazy to write Teddy Long in the subject)
About 6 years ago when Teddy Long was a referee, my best friend at the time would always say "teddy Long: Fighting for the rights of the black man." everytime Long refereed a match.
I'd ask him what this meant and he'd just laugh. Does anyone have a clue as to if this has anything to do with a previous Teddy Long storyline or what?

No idea. To me he is, and always will be, Peanut Head.

It might've been from when he managed Doom (Ron Simmons and Butch Reed) in WCW but I have no idea to be honest.

It's a lame pseudo-joke about a black person in a place of power.
