People just might be ripping on him because: 1. He thinks he's a God and his pet a bull is God (seriously, he refers to himself in third person caps). 2. He's enough of a jerk to continue a feud with a man who committed suicide. 3. He totally believes that he himself was totally responsible for his fame during his (relatively short) career highlight period in the early 90s (and the massive hype/push and all the guys who jobbed to him had NOTHING to do with it). Say what you will about Goldberg (the closest thing to the Warrior in terms of overall career popularity), but you don't see him insulting his former fans on ebay. The Austin/Warrior comparison some people made earlier on this board wasn't a very good analogy; if this was Austin selling "rare" figures of himself at ridiculously inflated prices, they all would have sold out already. Stone Cold's popularity can't be underestimated.

Well, regarding the Something Awful thing, you might notice that with all the threats his mouthpiece threw out, not once was Richard Kyanka contacted by a lawyer. All he could do was talk a bunch of big threats that had nothing behind them. I can see why you as a mod would be afriad of an injunction closing the site down, but in all actuality that absolutley could not happen. I don't use the word "absolutely" very much because nothing is absolute. ProBoards shuts down boards all the time for all kinds of reasons. I think a complaint from a public figure about harassment would be plenty enough for them. I was just using Something Awful as an example of his willingness to start firing back. Thusfar it's been a lot of bluster in that case. But actual harassment? I'm not so sure. I just want to keep THIS site out of it. There's no need to ruin what is, for the most part, a fun board by bringing down the Wrath of Crazy Jim. And people do it because he's an easy (and sometimes eager) target. He says tons of crazy junk, he sounds crazy saying it and he's got no problem yelling back. It's tailor made for public poking. And 500 is a LOT for action figures. But hasn't he sold stuff on eBay succesfully before? It's a lot, but sometimes people are willing to pay a lot for stuff. Check out WWE.com's crazy auction area. People pay for panties, for criminy's sake. (IMO, it's nuts to ask that much, but hey, if he can get it...) Hell, $500 isnt even a crazy asking price for something that limited/rare. I collect lots of Japanese Godzilla figures, and before the market value on those plummeted recently due to waining interest in the franchise, I've got some that I COULD (if i had wanted to, but I never will) sell for several hundreds.

Don't get me wrong. I think he's nuttier than a Christmas Fruitcake. People want to bust his war-painted chops all day and night, that's fine. I'm just wary of people dragging the board into it. Harassing people and then coming here to gloat isn't really something we like to encourage. In fact, we'd like to DIScourage it as much as possible.

Collectibles are one thing. Do we even know how valuable these are? He's issuing his own certificates of authenticity. So, they're valuable because HE says so? One of the one's he's offering (unsigned unless you ask, so it's pretty much the standard one) is on Amazon for $15 bucks. Discounted. (The variant would probably be worth something. But I don't know about 485 bucks.)

He totally believes that he himself was totally responsible for his fame during his (relatively short) career highlight period in the early 90s (and the massive hype/push and all the guys who jobbed to him had NOTHING to do with it). On his shoot tape, he actually credits guys like Hercules and Rick Rude with helping him get over. And besides, as creator and performer of the character, he deserves the vast majority of the credit.

He says in the big huge blue font "only 8 out 10 of the original sets available". However, at the top of the page, it says "Quantity: 9 available". Methinks he may be fibbing a wee bit about the rarity of his figures (although the fact that he won't let WWE sell any of his stuff in the legends line may increase the value of the older figures somewhat). 6 days, 7 hours remaining, and still no buyers.

So why does he say 8 out of 10 sets remaining? Does he have 8 sets available with 10 of the action figures each? Confusing math.

He says it 8 of 10 of the series 12 figure (He has at least 2 other figures in the classics). As a part of the deal with Jakks, he probably receives so many sets of 10 of each different figure and sales them. eBay said yesterday that he had 10 for sale and now there are 9 so that is why I think he sold one.

that makes sense, still the mod said she found the regular figure available unsigned on e-bay for $15.00. Don't know about the variant, but spending that much on any action figure seems really exorbitant.

I mean the COA, 3- 8x10 pics (2 that can be autographed if you ask) and the hand written note all have to be worth a nice chunk o' change but, not $500.

What is even more pathetic than trying to scam people over dolls is trolling on someone's Ebay site. Grow the f*** up people.

The talk of Amazon got me interested, so I checked, and the figures are currently listed at $15.99 and $24.99 (variant). I didn't realize these were so readily available. I guess I'd better buy up as many as I can now, before Amazon realizes what they have and Jakks the price up to $500. (Of course, they can't offer the motivational phone call and autographs...the call is worth the $500 alone. How can it not be?)

Methinks he's hoping that people will think that buying them directly from him (and the sundry photos, letter, etc.) is worth the remainder.

mothership is completely right, just enter "Jakks Classic Superstars Ultimate Warrior" in Amazon and it returns those exact same figures (unsigned) for the prices listed. The combined price isn't even $100, let alone $500. Warrior inflated the price presumably based on the personalized stuff he included (sigs + phonecall).
