Flair had no problems bashing Sammartino in his book, though. I find Flair's book funny, beause anytime there's any mention of Vince, it's always "Vince is so great, Vince is a genius, Vince this, Vince that". It sounds like he's trying to secure a job for life by brownnosing McMahon. And I found it interesting that Flair and Bret had heat on one another for their "wrestling styles", when the 2 of them put on a hell of a match in WCW that could've led to a monster feud if anyone there at the time had the business sense to book it. Oops.

Oops. Didn't Flair also trash the hell out of Bret in his book? I was on Bret's official homepage recently and came across a column of his where he rips Flair a new one for some of the stuff Flair says about him...

I would have LOVED to have seen SCREWED...i am sure it would have turned out better than the rimjob Hart got from the one that came out.

Oh, Flair did...said something to the effect that Bret was repetitive, that Bret was a selfish bastard, and probably the biggest low-blow was that Flair accused Bret of using the death of Owen as a way of getting at McMahon.

In response to the original question, I doubt it would have changed fans' perception of Bret very much. Like someone early said, members of the IWC had a negative veiw of Warrior before the DVD came out, so it didn't really change their minds. It simply acted as a catalyst for people to express their long-held opinions on Warrior.
That said, I'm thankfully the SCREWED: The Bret Hart Story DVD never saw the light of day.

The IWC definately would not have turned on Hart, although in actuality the IWC never really was completely pro-Hitman. After all he's the guy the, "five moves of doom" fad started with about a decade ago. I don't think posters would really dislike Michaels anymore, maybe Hebner would feel some backlash as his role in the event has not been as publicized at much. From what I heard of the documentary though it would definately give the IWC more fuel to complain and/or rude female about Hogan though. What did Hogan have to do with it? Hogan allegedly (I nor most others haven't seen the footage so I can'tsay for sure) recorded an interview for the Screwed DVDburying Hart. Hart saw the footage and said something along the lines that he never believed Hogan really hated him until he saw those comments. Judging from some comments Hogan has made about Hart in the past, I wouldn't say that this story sounds too out there.
