John Cena, kayfabe wise, is a very stupid babyface. When Coach said he'd be participating an a "rumble light" thing, and the match ended when he was thrown over the top, I immediately thought that Cena would just let someone throw him over to get at Coach while he was fresh. Instead, he goes through all of that beating instead of just getting it over with. Not Cena's fault, I know, but that made him look kind of stupid.

Not really, I'm just trying to find some way to say that the WWE makes their faces look stupid, at least to a smark's POV.
...but I can't really prove it.

You made a good point. If no one can argue against it, what do you expect? "Oh man, Spankymac, you're so right" for 30 pages?

Well as we're on this topic, how about how stupid Cena looked losing to K-Fed after all his stalling. Seriously in kayfabe, he's only got himself to blame. Umaga didn't break any rules entering the match, it was all legal.

When Coach first stated that. I almost immediately thought Cena was gonna turn around and just flip himself over the top rope. Of course, that ended with good ol' Cade & Murdoch's music.

Cena kind of explains this himself from time to time, last example I can recall is after NYR where Cena admitted he got his butt handed to him, and said he's just stupid enough to wanna go through it again in facing Umaga again. It may seem stupid but I think he'd look weak if he jumped over the ropes so he could have an easy night beating the snot out of Coach, and you gotta assume that Coach would come up with something else if he did anyways, or would he?
Come on guys just let the odds have their victory, the odds beat Cena straight up tonight.

In my analysis of the match, I completely forgot that Cena really did lose to the odds tonight, regardless of kayfabe stupidity or not. How did I miss that?

It's alright, I know times have been bleak, but I know come Wrestlemania when the odds are finally in the ring embracing Shawn Michaels in sweet victory we representing the internet will be happy to have been there for both of them.

Here's hoping that that prophecy comes to pass. Even though I haven't been the biggest HBK fan over this past year, he's been a favorite of mine for a while.

Yeah but its just like why don't champions just get themselves disqualified instead of having to go through an entire match.

Wouldn't Coach just have sent all those guys down to beat on Cena anyway?

I'm tempted to say yes, but I don't know the medical properties of Fighting Spirit. All I really know is that Misawa is the king of Fighting Spirit.
