He should enter and win the Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania based on the horseshoe stuck up his ass alone. Dude has survived about 5 or 6 WWE talent house cleanings over the years and still collects a paycheck.
The same can be said for Val Venis and Stevie Richards.

Don't forget Funaki
I do want to see Scotty get a push though He has talent and the crowd loves him. Plus he has The W-O-R-M

That's just it. He's survived on 'The Worm' alone since 1999. He exists solely to be fed to debuting talent on TV. Some writer should come up with a decent program for him.

Val, Stevie, Funaki and Scotty are like the 4 Horsemen of current-day enhancement talent for the WWE. So wouldn't expect them to get the axe anytime soon, or ever. They'll always be there, and the world of wrestling is better for it.

Every time they come to fire him he instinctively goes into "The Worm" as he slowly inches his way out the door. They cannot pursue him because they don't understand. I never did.

Sigh. My hopes of them ever doing anything with Stevie have completely vanished. But at least he'll always be employed. ..Wish he would to TNA..they would probably do SOMETHING with him.. =(

I think Val, Funaki, Scotty and Stevie have jobs for the simple fact that they are over with live crowds. Stevie got a BIG pop at December to Dismember in freaking Augusta GA of all places during the dark match, they're recognizeable guys who fans pop for at house shows and dark matches, and WWE needs guys like that to set the tone for the night and get the people excited.

Why don't they fire Scotty 2 Hotty? Well, due to an error in accounting he's been receiving a paycheck for the last ten years even though he's technically unemployed. They're not going to fire him....they'll just... fix the glitch.

And then he'll burn the place down.
They do need some name jobbers (Scotty, Val, Stevie... and that one makes me weep) to feed to people and these guys have consistently gotten the job done. I'd like to see a J.O.B. Squad resurgence, as they do have the membership for it.

And they'd have to bring back the Leader of the Job Squad (aside from Al of course):
GILLBERG!!!!!

How has Scotty survived this long? Simple, he has pictures of Vince doing inappropriate things with a donkey.

They're probably all just really nice guys and have a bunch of friends in the back. And I'm glad. I like those guys a lot.

I would assume that it's because they're professionals. Easy to work with, good in ring workers, they're preternaturally over, and they can make their opponent look good. Which is why they usually take on newcomers to the E. Sure they could go elsewhere and put on great matches, but the money probably wouldn't be as good, and they appear to be happy doing what they do in the E.

I wish WWE would go back to using real jobbers, rather than having the jobbers to the stars fill the role.
And yes, Scotty, Val, and Funaki definitely need new gimmicks. Stevie's gimmick is fine, he just needs a push.

The WWE use them to warm up the crowd on the whole. Fans like them, they have enough charisma to be useful and all 4 seem like easy going guys who don't cause trouble.
Plus these days none of them are rammed down are throats every show so we can't get tired of there act.
Indeed Funaki was cruiserweight champion not long ago. Scotty could do the same if they run short of cruiserweights, Stevie enhances talent and is a link back to the old ecw. Whilst Venis is always useful in the ring to test new guys, whilst also having a gimmick which lets him do segments with the divas.
