It's better than that Fujiwara armbar.

As a finisher it's lame... After all it's a glorified shoulder tackle. I see how a tackle from a 275lbs former football player isn't pleasant, but I hardly believe it can keep an equally big guy down for the 1-2-3... Use it as a set-up move for some kind of bomb/slam. Otherwise it's just a new version of Hacksaw Jim Duggan's 3 points stance... I'll say it again, If Edge at an alleged 250 pounds can beat people with a spear, then 275 lb Monty Brown can beat somebody with a pependicular shoulder tackle and/or uppercut. In kayfabe terms, the spear can leave you breathless for the three count, and there's always the possibility of the head hitting the mat while falling down. While I agree Edge defeating Big Show and Kane with a Spear is a bit over the top. Half of the move appeal is in the selling... A shoulder tackle is a shoulder tackle... Now, if we're reasoning in "real world" terms, well, 99.9% of wrestling moves make no sense.

If he followed with the Alpha Bomb, it'd be perfect.

Too bad only Batista is allowed to do powerbombs.

It's better than that Fujiwara armbar. I think the pounce could be a great set-up to the armbar, but as a finisher the pounce is so-so.

I don't like the armbar as a finisher for him, it just seems out of character. He's a power guy who hits high impact moves, then gets the win with a simple submission? It'd be like mysterio using a powerslam, or Jeff Hardy using a submission.l

I heard from BG James in a shoot that the Pounce actually hurts because it's hard to fall with it. So yeah, I'd say it's a good finish.

I haven't been paying attention, Batista really is the only one who does power bombs in the E?

Finishers for the top gys in the company: Cena - fireman's carry Edge - spear HBK - superkick Batista - sitout powerbomb Booker - axe kick Rey - 619 Test - Charisma/Lifeforce Drain MK Fatality Lashley - spear (no longer dominator, no? I work 6 nights/week and last saw Lashley at SS...sue me for not changing my life to watch Vince's shit)
So yeah, sure, f*** it...Pounce is fine by me.

I'm sure that Lashley doesn't even know what his finisher is.

Eh.... there were a lot of times in TNA when it looked really, really lame. If the guy he does it to sells it like a million bucks, it can look good. Unfortunately, a lot of guys sell it like if someone just ran into them instead of demolishing them, making the move look completely retarded.

I was just wondering what everyone on this board thinks of the pounce...it seems as if everyone was marking out for it when he hit it on ECW and keep marking for it..... Yet i seem to remember a while back when he was in TNA alot of epople were talking about how lame it is and does'nt seem a credible finisher. Im split with this because i love moves that u can hit from anywhere...and i love how when hes about to hit it to crowd pops...but it just doesnt seem like a move that would knock u clean out? What do u guys think? No worse than "spearing" someone. Kinda like Jim Duggan's three point stance on 'roids.

Indeed it is. Back when Killings was a militant black man, not a rapper, and Jimmy Yang and Sonny Siaki were THE FLYING ELVISES! Killings rapped back then too. He used to really rile up the rednecks in Nashville by rapping his way to the ring.
