I was just wondering what everyone on this board thinks of the pounce...it seems as if everyone was marking out for it when he hit it on ECW and keep marking for it.....
Yet i seem to remember a while back when he was in TNA alot of epople were talking about how lame it is and does'nt seem a credible finisher.
Im split with this because i love moves that u can hit from anywhere...and i love how when hes about to hit it to crowd pops...but it just doesnt seem like a move that would knock u clean out?
What do u guys think?

In TNA, it looked weak as hell. He definitely made it look improved the other night, but then again, Cassidy Reilly has worked with him before, and would probably know how to sell it.

I think its a good signature move but just not a finisher.

When he hits it like that, like an Uppercut hit, it looks deadly, when he just does a shoulder block like John Cena does, it doesn't really look good.
but BLAM POUUNCCCCCE looked awesome for the way he hit it and the way Cassidy Reilly just oversold it

It's a 275-pound linebacker knocking you the hell out. Ask anybody who's been hit by Ray Lewis if it's a good finisher.

I think a pumphandle powerbomb would work.

The Pounce is the best.
It's just the way he delivers it.
Same way with how Goldberg delivered the Spear.

Its a fantastic move.
He needs something after it though.

Its all in the selling, as Riley proved on Tuesday.
However, it would look weak most likely against Bobby Lashley or any other big guys if that feud ever happened.

it's a good setup move for something better but as a stand-alone finisher, I like it but he needs other finishers too

I think a pumphandle powerbomb would work. BLUE THUNDER DRIVAH! But then Jun Akiyama would come after him... Just as soon as he's dealt with BJ Whitmer...

Nice Avatar Matt. My favorite part is when he threw Skulley, when he was still in the phone booth. To stay on topic I always loved the pounce ;D www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MsxcpGmpP4

Love the Pounce, and I think it is very credible as a finisher. But he does need another finisher, the Alpha Bomb works.

As a finisher it's lame...
After all it's a glorified shoulder tackle. I see how a tackle from a 275lbs former football player isn't pleasant, but I hardly believe it can keep an equally big guy down for the 1-2-3...
Use it as a set-up move for some kind of bomb/slam. Otherwise it's just a new version of Hacksaw Jim Duggan's 3 points stance...

I'll say it again, If Edge at an alleged 250 pounds can beat people with a spear, then 275 lb Monty Brown can beat somebody with a pependicular shoulder tackle and/or uppercut.

As long as he isn't hitting people with his chest again, I'm cool.
