I became a Batista fan in late 2004. Since his after Summerslam he's not been as interesting but I watched NYR 05 last night and it really reminded me of the better days for Batista's character. Too much smiling and being nice these days. We want the Animal back, the man we saw glimpses of when he returned in July and battered Mark Henry on his Smackdown return. The nickname the Animal isn't really warranted these days. When was the last time he really creamed somebody?

I think the Booker T fued shows shades of a heelish side.

You know what, i actually prefered it when he was happy and smiley in 2005 (like with Eddie) or when he was smart and quickwitted (like against HHH & Simon Dean). It looked like he was having a good time and the fans saw that in him.
Whereas when he came back he was all whiny ("It's my title and i want it back no matter how many title shots i have") and way too serious.

Batista imo is totally worthless. The fans dont react to him as much anymore. The limited ring ability he had before is now even more limited and, his current title run is boring. Really boring.

Batista garners ratings as a baby face. Marks legit want him to succeed. I think his best days are ahead as a bruising asshole heal. I think Taker can really help Bats showcase that side of him.

Yeah, I agree 100%, when he came back from his injury I kind of lost interest the moment he uttered the phrase "I WANT MY TITLE BACK," because after he said that he went into a feud with Kennedy and that, and it just seemed like he didn't care, like whatever man just give me my title! I loved Batista best when they were building towards his break from Evolution, when they were having that beat the clock theme for Raw before that Elimination Chamber match where Hunter wanted Batista to draw out his match with Rhyno so he wouldn't be the last one entering, but Batista made quick work of him, and when HHH was giving him crap Batista just told Hunter "he pissed me off," I thought that was totally cool. His character all together just played things really cool, I hope he does either turn heel from here and just keep being mental for the title but allow me to boo him or cool him down again.

The only time I marked for Batista was when he returned from injury in late 2003 and kicked the shit out of Goldberg.

I'm actually hoping they keep Batista face and make Undertaker the heel That wouldn't work. Undertaker is at that point in his career where no one is going to boo him over a newer wrestler.
