Who is Theodore Long gonna side with if this match happens?? Both are his boys. Batistaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?? or the Undertakah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?? Either way, the forcast calls for much yelling of "holla holla" with a good chance of dancing. Like many, I doubt they'll end the streak, just tease that it's possible. Plus, losing the streak to a guy like Batista, who realistically only has five good years (at the absolute most), it seems like a bad choice.

The crowd will boo because an Undertaker/Batista match would be terrible. You know it won't be any good when an aging Taker will have to carry Batista.
I think fans would side with Taker too. Batista shouldn't be the one to end the streak. I say give Taker the title and let him go on one final run.

If for some insane reason they went with Batista in this match, the fans would boo LOUDLY. It is Detroit. They are pretty markish. No we're not! Remember Saturday Night's Main Event? Cena got booed to hell. Plus we've got lots of TNA-heads here. And don't forget the Border City - Scott D'Amore - TNA aspect of the connection, more directly. If RVD and/or Sabu isn't booked or is jobbed out badly in Detroit, the place will likely be unhappy. And I'd expect to hear some TNA chants if Vince screws up the booking of Mania. Imagine a TNA chant during Hogan/Khali. Feel the magic.

It does not matter what we think of Batista or Undertaker.
This feud if done right will make WWE a lot of money.

I don't see too much booing in this match.
It'll be a face/face match, probably with a 60/40 cheer in favor of Taker.

Taker would get the bigger cheers, but I don't think Batista/Taker should happen at Mania. I was hoping Taker would win the Sprint, beat Batista for the belt at the Rumble, lose it in a rematch due to Kane turning heel again, then we get my dream Mania match of Kane/Taker HIAC.
But Batista/Taker, as much it will suck, will get bigger buyrates and still be a better match than Orton/Cena (Which you know will happen and suck worse than Cena/JBL), and the rumoured Khali/Hogan match won't draw many people in either. I still wish they'd planned since Armageddo to go with Kane/Taker HIAC with face Kane and heel Taker, and Kane ending the streak at last.

All I know is that cheers for face Taker winning the title are gonna be a lot louder than cheers for face Batista retaining the title.

Taker is so established and over that it takes someone of a Stone Cold/Rock status and longevity to make the crowd boo him.
Remember how quickly they turned on Randy after he challenged the Undertaker, even though the manner in which he did so should have had him as the underdog face?

Undertaker needs to turn heel, and then beat Batista.
That is all.

If Batista wins against Taker, chalk that up as another smack in the face to WWE fans, so love and respect that man too much to see him lose to a guy they don't view as on his level in terms of legacy. When is R.D. writing The Death of WWWFECW, anyway?

The last time I believed the Undertaker's streak was in trouble was against Randy Orton. Now, I simply do not believe he will lose before he retires.

If they're both babyfaces, likely. People respect The Undertaker. There are a lot of people who would love to see Taker retire with the streak intact, and unless the right person comes in, I'd be one of them.
Undertaker is a better wrestler, better character, and has more respect then Batista. In that match, people would be rooting for Taker.
