If the rumours are true and he beats Undertaker at WM 23?

That crowd would side with Undertaker. I'd bet anything on that. I still think one of them would have to go heel for that match to work, and Batista would be the best bet.

Depends if Undertaker is a face or heel.
If he is a heel there will be a deep booing and a very high pitched, pubeless cheering.

It's not really a spoiler, but it's definitely happening. The seeds were planted last night during the interview with Batista. I hope Taker wins, but I've heard rumors they want to end the streak with Batista.
The crowd would probably cheer Taker over Batista, in Detroit, of course provided the crowd isn't dead like the WM19 crowd was for most of the evening.

They won't end Taker's streak.
They (WWE) start that rumor every year to build interest in his WM match at that time. Same rumor popped up last year during the Henry feud.

Tista really needs to play the heel in that match. It is hard to get a face/face WM main event over.

If for some insane reason they went with Batista in this match, the fans would boo LOUDLY. It is Detroit. They are pretty markish.

I still don't understand how everybody is worshipping UT. Who cares if he keeps the streak? He's just a wrestler. Wrestling was around before him and will still be around after him.

I doubt they'd really have 40-year old (Bah Gawd) Batista break the streak, it doesn't accomplish anything for him and he's only got a couple years, if that, left in the business. If the streak should be broken (WHICH I DON'T THINK IT SHOULD), then it should be broken by someone younger, someone who can use it to hit the big-time.

I don't think it's so much the streak, rather than who he loses it to. I'm sure if it were someone like Edge or Shawn Michaels, it may be different.

I don't see any reason to boo, but I guess there are better guys he could lose the streak to.

Undertaker is better than Batista therefore Batista should not break the streak. It's really as simple as that.
<Mr. Burns>I agree that if he loses the streak it should be to a young up and comer someone like Frank Gotch or George Hackneschmidt.</Mr. Burns>

Yeah but I'd hope no one bought that Henry might end his streak. I mean, really? If it's in a title match against one of WWE's "picks" then you have to at least think it's a possibility.

I still would like to see Edge vs. Taker with Edge as World Champ. It would streak vs. streak and title vs. career.

In a dream world, my pick would be Kevin Thorn. He's a great young kid (so to speak) to give the rub to.....
