Not to mention that the guy WWE seemed to have hand-picked to be the Ace of the division was Super-freakin'-Porky. A Midget, Mexican equivalent to Viscera who carries around a ham with him at all times? Great idea there, WWE. Just because its a juniors division dosent mean you can't have a midgit hoss or two Remember when they signed Mikey Batts to a developmental deal with the intention of him being in the juniors division? I remember laughing for a good while after reading that.

I have always found AAA to be somewhat entertaining. Everytime I check out some of their clips/matches, I see something unique and amazing. I just can't be a fan. The critics that refer to X division matches in TNA as spotfests would probably throw up at the dizzying pace set by AAA. It is dissapointing to see an absolutely amazing and unique move followed by a very brief sell. It seems that selling is frowned upon because the performers could have squeezed another six suicide dives into the time that someone sold a great move. Eventually, all those great moves seem pointless as you know the guy is just going to hop right back up. Why waste energy jumping onto the opponents shoulders, flipping around the opponents waist two times and finishing with a combo enziguiri arm drag, when a forearm to the chest will bring you the same results? A brief sell of maybe 2 seconds. Also, six man tag matches make character development next to impossible. Am i suppose to differentiate between the four guys in masks that all perform suicide dives, planchas, and moonsaults? Of course, lucha libre is very popular in other countries and I'm not trying to knock other people's taste. On a limited basis, this style can tear down a house in the USA. I have no problem when a Lucha match is on a card, but I don't want to watch two hours of it. Its a shame that I and many other fans feel this way as these guys are obviously very talented and obviously work harder than most wrestlers do. I think with some adjustments, the style could appeal to a broader audience.
