Yeah, a 1.02 is a pretty tremendous number. I don't think any WWE PPVs even come close to that anymore besides Wrestlemania. Is 1.02 for that BATB even correct? It seems way too high. Not that Hogan isn't a draw, but... Well I been to several different sites for PPV buyrates and they all had the same. So it seem like it. You have to remember though back then. There wasn't as many PPV household as there is now. So the numbers look high but really it how many of the PPV household at the time order it. Which is still as impressive incease Just look at what that link says for the PPVs in the 80s. There like 3. somethings and so forth. But that was going but how many of the people who had PPV brought it.

Not that Hogan isn't a draw, but... the thing is though, there are more homes with ppv now so its harder to get that high. still in 1994 that was a good buyrate for a wcw ppv. edit-same thing they said ^

One thing that I don't understand is how the Jarretts had forgotten their regional promotion roots. Jarrett's USWA had house shows at a lot of high school/middle school gymnasiums. Any gym that is big enough to host any sort of basketball game would be big enough to host an Impact taping. They currently have a rent-free home, but how many high schools are so rich with cash that they wouldn't be able to cut a decent deal with TNA for one show? The school could get much needed cash, especially if they are allowed to be the ones who run the consession stands, while TNA could start generating gate revenue.
For those who say that would make them look bush league, I'm not talking some armory somewhere. My hometown had 3000 people in it, but our high school gym could probably host about 4000-5000 for any wrestling set-up. 14 miles away the town of Washington (population about 11,000) has a gym that could house over 15,000. High schools in big cities probably rival that or exceed it. You don't have to host a show in a college or pro team arena to have a large gate.

Part of it, Universal Studios brings in several thousand people a day, who when TNA was first on the air, could fill in the empty seats. While that may not be a problem now, it was when they first went there and they probably have a contract with them. Also Universal has lighting and pyro capabilities that most paces do not and TNA cannot afford to make or pay for on there own.

Well Jerry Jarrett is not involded in it anymore I don't think. It think it more the Carters and Jeff. But I see what you mean. A house show would work in a High School gym for sure. I know the High School I went too if set up right the Gym would fit a lot of fans. Which would be smart because they have some kind of rate revenue. 15,000 for a High School? I don't know about that. St. Louis doesn't have anything that big. Collages yes I believe it. Because The Family Arena were Lockdown is as about the same and that's a sports arena. I know the place well. I think TNA would be better at working with Collages that have arenas for Basket ball games. Those building are big enough for Pyro if they do there own. But house shows it perfect because you don't use it. TNA wants to be big fast which could work if they made some wise moves.
