TNA lost so much money promoting the PPV in Detroit last year, even with a full house as the gate didn't cover the production expenses, that they cannot afford to do monthly PPVs outside of Orlando. They are under great pressure to minimise expenses right now, especially after keeping Sting and signing Kurt Angle. Meanwhile, those two have contributed only to two above average PPV events to the point that, financially, the company is worse than it was before they had either one.

This is why I don't think RVD will go to tna. They probably can't afford the bare minimum of what he'd want, and it's not like he's a huge draw.

This is TNA's problem in a nutshell.
I don't follow ROH religiously, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for their business plan. ROH KNOWS their limits. They don't go around tossing thousands of dollars at the first big name that becomes available. They use their own talent to slowly build a name for themselves. TNA? Their aspiration was never to just entertain. They want to put WWE out of business. And you can't come out of the gate wanting to put the biggest wrestling company in the world out of business. Thats a good death wish.

A buddy of mine went ot FanFast and BFG. He personally saw Dixie Carter giving away tickets to people, including front row seats. Trust me, that event was not sold out. It may have been a packed house, but there were plenty of people who were there on comps. Jed Shaffer ~What's the over/under on Panda washing their hands of this mess?

TNA better not run themselves out of business by trying to succeed too fast just by spending money, the wrestling world needs them but we don't need them to rush it, they need to take their time & do it right.

Yes, but sooner or later, Panda will want returns on their investment. I'd rather be flush with mone, be smaller company, know my limits and grow slowly but steadily, as opposed to pissing away a bankroll on forced expansion that I'm not ready for. Jed Shaffer ~Maybe Andrew McManus can help bankroll TNA. He likes throwing away money!

They can save money by firing Russo, West, and the entire sound crew. Because they won't have to buy out their contracts and hire new people.

At least when they go out of business, Don West can sell all of the stuff on Shop at Home.
"We've got a deal for you tonight...operators I'm worried about you....tonight...we have...for one night only....the big red stupid X from the X-division match! Only 29.99 a month on flexpay!"
I miss the days when he was selling beanie babies and baseball cards.

And all I was saying was that having a huge bankroll doesn't mean you have license to fritter it away while you promise that you'll be turning a corner "any day now". Ask WCW how much good having a huge bankroll behind them did for them. Oh, wait. Jed Shaffer ~Funny how WCW comparisons keep popping up with TNA.
