What's wrong with these loons? They'll bust blood vessels over a moonsault to the floor they've seen before yet when LAX go to Blubber Ray's Uncle's kitchen, try to garrotte him, stick a knife through his hand and shove his head in the oven they talk about it in a monotonic manner for about 10 seconds.
Not only that but when a wrestler is cutting a promo in the ring, they talk in between the promo lines rather than just when it's necessary. Further to that, did anyone hear Tenay when Abyss came out to pound Rison? He sounded more bored than suprised.
Rant over. I love TNA and love wrestling in general and hate to talk bad about anything to do with it (after nearly 16 years of being a fan) but the no selling of the angles is really annoying me.

I hate the commentary team too, because they agree on all the same things.

Yea, they both suck really bad. I prefer to watch PPVs with the spanish comentary but since I get my Impact fix from torrents I have to put up with them. They are terrible they should have Cornette replace either one of em.

Anybody remember when The Naturals hit the 3D on Team 3D and all Don West said was "Nice Combination"?
Followed by Mike Tenay's high pitched "NICE COMBINATION???".

TNA needs a heel colour commentator, stat. 2 babyfaces results in the smae problem as on Raw- superpushing the good guys and making the heels look worse off. A heel commentator balances things out, allows for better commentary, and just generally acts as the Yin to the face annoucner's Yang ,or the Yang to the Yin, I forget which way round Yin and Yang are.

It was driving me insane how they were talking after every single line AJ Styles said this past week.

Indeed, they HAVE to shut up during promos. It's God awful to interject like that, unless there's a damn good reason to.

it wouldn't be a problem if they didn't repeat exactly what the person had just finished saying.
AJ Styles: This is my invention Elevation X.
Tenay: AJ invented it.
AJ: And I'm here to call out anyone who is man enough to take me on.
Tenay: He's making a challenge to anyone in the back!
Rhino: I'm here to accept your challenge
Tenay: It's Rhino and he's accepting the challenge?!?

I've noticed it before but the AJ thing really hit home because it was LITERALLY after EVERY line.

Simon Diamond added some EXCELLENT colour commentary on an episode of Impact last year. If they're not going to be using the Diamonds in the Rough any more, put Simon at the announce table! He is GOLD on the mic.

Tenay is best at calling the action, and West is best... well, he's best left off of TV altogether.

yea, i hate when they talk too much. i enjoy laughing AT them. never with them. when they have a 3rd person at the desk, its always better. like when cornette sits in. 2 talk business while one calls the match.
i really hate tenays "DID YOU SEE THAT!?" crap.

Both try and do color and they just can't. Tenay is best as a straight play by play guy. He needs someone else to direct the flow of the shows (throw to commercial or backstage, hype main events) (ala Jim Ross, Scott Hudson or Tony Schiavone ) and someone else for color. They should just have West doing the shill videos and interviews.
Maybe have it like this:
Play by Play: Mike Tenay Flow guy: Tony Schiavone or Scott Hudson Color: Simon Diamond or Shane Douglas Ring Announcer: Jeremy Borasch Backstage Interviewer/PPV Hype man: Don West

I've noticed it before but the AJ thing really hit home because it was LITERALLY after EVERY line. You know what's really funny? I didn't actually remember him doing it this past Thursday but it was the only promo that I remembered off hand so I decided to exaggerate a bit. Guess I was right though lol
