Well, I haven't really been keeping up with much wrestling as of late. I've actually been setting up a wrestling promotion, but that's for another thread. Basically I've shocked with how poorly TNA is doing. I mean, what the hell happened?
Kurt Angle did little for both ratings and PPV buyrates. How the hell could that be? When TNA first starting rushing the Joe/Angle program I was vocal about "Russo" ruining such a great chance to really help TNA make a name for itself. After the first forgettable encounter at "Genesis"...or whatever generic PPV they put it on I kind of been getting wrapped up in my own personal promotion I've been a part of.
A few weeks ago I was flipping around the dial and saw Angle main eventing an Impact show against what seemed to be a "heel" AJ Styles...what is the point of giving away a match like the for free?
I have a couple questions for people who follow TNA.
What promted an AJ heel turn? I mean as far as I noticed the crowd loves him. What caused Tna's go to guy to turn heel? I don't know...to me it just seems bad for business...
Secondly with AJ a heel does that make Kurt Angle a face? Is the Joe/Angle program already over? I mean it's been 2-3 months...
I don't really watch the WWE or TNA much these days but atleast when I turn on RAW I have a clue to exactly what is going on. I just don't understand the logic TNA is using. I mean you can bring in all the WWE guys you want but eventually they are going to reach a point when it isn't worth it to pay these guys so much money.
Kurt Angle is one of the biggest current US wrestling stars and TNa still is drawing less than RAW at ANYPOINT in it's history... They have the talent it just seems like they all have no clue how to draw new fans...
I honestly don't think I'll ever get over how poorly they booked the Angle/Joe program. I mean come on... it's wrestling 101.
