"Sting vs. Abyss at the Destination X PPV will be a Last Rights Match. Dave Meltzer is reporting that the way you win this match is to strap your opponent to a cross" Source: Gerwick.net If that's true then it further supports my thought that Russo is, in fact, The Devil.

For two men who are born again christians. Not too mention did numerous christian based telivision shows together. Does anyone else find it odd that they would book and/or involve them self in such an angle?

Could this be any tackier? Sting & Abyss' feud is pretty decent. No need to drag religion into it.

I'm very confused about this as well. The only thing I can see is that Russo and Sting plan to add more religious significance, rather than making it sacrilege like the Undertaker's Symbol or a misunderstood symbol like Sandman to the barbed wire cross.
I second the motion that I hope it's not tacky.

It's up there in stupidest match ideas ever, regardless of whether it's offensive or not.

My question is: Shouldn't Kurt Angle be flipping out and causing a crapstorm about this VERY SAME angle that was done a decade ago?
EDIT: OK, not "exactly the same", but it involved a cross.

Elevation X, while may look good on PPV, is stupid as wax. The Last Rights match doesn't even compare to Elevation X. And if it's done right, the Last Rights Match could be really good.
I'm in favor of having ONE STIPULATION per PPV. I don't care, Lockdown too. Cage's are great and whatnot, but still, too much of a good thing can eventually be a bad thing.
And if there's a tag team match in a cage, all 4 members should be in the ring at the same time. It's stupid to have guys tag in and out when the point is to beat up both of them so that you can make aq pinb whitout any interruptions. Same goes for the X-Scape match. 6 X-Division stars that fly all around the ring have to wait for a friggin' tag before they can fight? Get real TNA.

So we're agreed . Russo is evil and must be stopped.

Actually, I think Russo is doing great. Check out another thread with Russo as the title (on the first page of this section) and you'll see why.
But had you asked me a year ago, or even last Tuesday, then yes, I would agree with you.

I don't this will happen. I mean, Vince Russo and Sting are born again Christians; they wouldn't do this. Hell, on the WrestleCrap Radio interview he did, Russo said that one of the angles he regretted doing were the crucifixition ones where Undertaker put people on his "symbol." Also, Kurt Angle, who works for TNA, got offended at an ECW show where a similar angle took place. This will not happen, and if it does, then Russo, Sting, and Angle are huge f***ing hypocrites.
